With Reid? 53, and they make the playoffs 4 of 5 seasons, with the only non-10 win season being 9-7. So, is your argument that McDermott is doing essentially as well with Allen as Reid did with Alex Smith?

So wonderful when compared to the carousal of loses we had for 20+ years.  Without a doubt he has flaws, most coaches do, but "you are what your record says you are" as Parcells would say.

 

Overall McDermott has built a strong culture, developed a great staff, excellent player development "next man up" and united confidence with GM and ownership.  What impresses me the most is his ability to lead through adversity. Even when he started as Bills HC after big losses, the team came back strong.  He has always had the locker room.  Now he needs a ring to prove he is elite.

I know he hasn’t won the Super Bowl (yet), but some are pretty dissatisfied with him, considering all his success.

 

He’s only the 13th coach in NFL history to have 80 wins within his first eight seasons. Playoffs EVERY year but one. 

He has tied Jimmy Johnson, Brian Billick and Bruce Arians for 60th on the NFL's all-time wins list. All three of those coaches have won Super Bowls.

 

Way to go, Coach! Go Bills!

I don't necessarily agree. I think most fans actually do appreciate his guidance and success with our team over his 7.5 seasons. It's just the uninformed dissidents that are the most vocal.
