Congratulations to Coach McDermott on 80 wins!

I know he hasn’t won the Super Bowl (yet), but some are pretty dissatisfied with him, considering all his success.

He’s only the 13th coach in NFL history to have 80 wins within his first eight seasons. Playoffs EVERY year but one.

He has tied Jimmy Johnson, Brian Billick and Bruce Arians for 60th on the NFL's all-time wins list. All three of those coaches have won Super Bowls.

Way to go, Coach! Go Bills!

Great, great coach.

Strong enough to be the scapegoat for the fans who need somebody to blame but keeps on clapping anyway.

He’ll be redeemed one day. Hopefully soon.

Generational QB talents like Josh Allen are a blessing for a head coach but also a curse, Allen is an automatic playoff ticket every year he’s healthy.

Now everyone is expecting a championship and at a certain point a change must be made if that goal isn’t reached, even though anyone being honest will concede McDermott is an excellent head coach, he’s gotta go.

That talent level of Allen demands all stones turned and all roads travelled to reach that goal. I don’t think anyone wants the next Shula/Marino playing out in Buffalo.

All teams wished they were so cursed.

Allen is already getting commercials like Marino did when he was injured and out for season.

Coach McD could learn to call Belichick 'Beli-Cheat' like Shula did if necessary.

Everyone thanking Josh, how many wins do the Chiefs have without Mahomes?

Every year you see at least one talented young quarterback have his career destroyed by an organization that doesn't have the first clue how to put him in a place to grow and succeed.

Kudos to McBeane for creating a great environment for Josh, one he clearly loves and thrives in.

They're constantly trying to find that perfect and elusive balance of taking a big swing without mortgaging the future. Now they've given him a strong O-line and running game...

I believe the best is yet to come.

McCongratulations Coach!!!

I applaud you!!!

Congratulations to McDermott and the Buffalo Bills.  They do indeed have something cooking....hot and spicy

Sean and Beane need to give Josh a super-defense to win in the playoffs.  Their current  bend-but-dont-break defense will not get it done.

So hang on Josh needs a super defense, a strong oline and top flight weapons to win in the playoffs?

I don't believe that but if it is true Josh isn't the QB we all think he is.

The defense being a bit less talented than in previous years is just a symptom of them starting to change theit resource allocation towards offense the past two years.

It is not about the defense being less talented...It is about them being able to hold their end of the bargain to win a championship.   Josh doesn't need all the adjectives you added...but he needs the defense to be able to make a stop when required... Even yesterday, they were allowing 16 yards on a 3rd and 11 on that 93-yard drive... they allowed Tua to dive for a first down (untouched) in those final minutes, when they could have shut it down.   Football is a sum of three parts...Even if you have an intelligent driver but bad parts the train has not ability to rock at 200 mph.

Part of the D struggling the past few years was McD and Beane holding on and counting players who were getting older and less productive. For 3 years there was hardly any change in that D, and when games were on the line they got the same results

I think some truth to that the last two years. They also became more susceptible to getting nicked up. I was always vocally in favour of staggering your move on points from Hyde and Poyer. I still think taking the hit of moving on from both at the same time a) has impacted this season at safety and b) left us too slow and unathletic there last year too.

He is truly underappreciated by most Bills fans.

On things both big and small.

The Tyler Bass situation is a perfect example. On a smaller scale, he did a wonderful job of sticking with the person and building him back up. On a larger scale, so did the rest of the team, and that's an extension of the coach and his culture. What many don't realize is the team takes the shape of the values that the coach lives by.

McDermott isn't where he is without Josh Allen, but quite frankly, Josh Allen isn't where he is without Sean McDermott.
