Tuesday morning and outside of the Bills organization, we have no clue if Coleman has a broken wrist, pulled tendons or is expected to make a full recovery within the next week. Also, outside of Smoot and Carter, no inside knowledge on the type of injury Benford and Cooper have outside of a wrist sprain. Add in, zero news on how Milano is trending and they keep it locked down. I’m hopeful Benford and Cooper is just minor, but not sensing that. Not a complaint, but typically you hear some news from other teams much earlier. Much different than in the past before Beane and McDermott. Good point. The Bills are keeping a poker face as they will/may need to make a trade today. Keep the injury info locked so that the trading team doesn't use it as collateral to "up the asking price" knowing we are in trouble and somewhat desperate. The silence tells me that Coleman is not good news. We may see a BIG deal today - the likes of a few good Bills players being traded for a package of WR and DE/DT. 1 Quote
CincyBillsFan Posted November 5 Posted November 5 The key is Cooper. If he's ready to come back this week then they should hold tight at WR even if Coleman is out for a long time. However, if they think Cooper may be out for several more weeks and Coleman is out long term it would be criminally negligent not to add quality to what would be a seriously depleted Bills WR group. 2 1 Quote

Are you really talking about Coleman and not Amari? 1 Quote

"hurt bad" would be more of a week to week or worse, right? Someone swapped Coleman and coopers name in the gameday thread talking about injuries and it seems to have taken on a life of its own now 😂 2 Quote
PoundingDog Posted November 5 Posted November 5 WR is tough. The ramp up time is much longer than a position player who does not touch the ball. So they have to weight in on when the injured guys can get back to play vs the traded guy can get up to speed. 1 Quote
Dr. K Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I am very happy about the team's performance this season overall but not happy about the injury situation. I know that injuries happen on all teams, and it's part of the game, but I'm very bummed about Coleman's injury. Even if it does not put him out, I can't see how he's going to play effectively with ligament damage when his strong point is making contested catches. Also the injuries to the D-line and linebackers (Smoot, Carter, Bernard looks hurt, Milano still out for some time) plus Benford--possibly even Allen--makes me nervous about the team going forward. Though I have to say that I'm always nervous. 1 hour ago, Casey D said: Please go back to Mudville. There is no joy in Mudville. . . . 1 Quote
PSUBB86 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Still nothing on Coleman. This doesn’t seem like good news coming. Really, really hope we didn’t lose him for the season. 1 1 Quote

If it was 'really bad', I'm quite sure he would have been ruled out for the game during the week instead of it being a game time decision. And like I said earlier, McDermott is usually very sport on when he designates someone as 'day to day' vs 'week to week'. There is a HUGE difference when those terms come from his mouth which is why I feel so much better about his health and return timeframe than you do. I'm basing this off of what I've heard, seen, and experienced since McDermott has been here. No more, no less. Obviously I hope you are wrong that he needs to go on IR for 4 weeks. It would be one of the most bizarre mystery injuries to occur to a player here maybe ever. Agreed. I think the coach speak of D2D vs W2W is to keep the reporters at bay. If you say D2D they will ask each day if the guy has a chance to play on the weekend. W2W means, stop asking me this week, he ain't playing. 1 Quote

That is the real question LOL in the end the Bills are not going to disclose a thing on Cooper or Coleman before the deadline is over... why would they. I know we all wanna know but it would not be to their advantage. I will say this, if there was glowing good news and they knew it, that would probably have a greater chance of disclosure than negative .... thats just my opinion and the way I would play it if I were them . 2 1 Quote
