Of course that was a bit of a dirty hit, but let's be honest, he did that a lot with the Bills as that's his playing style. I don't wish the man well this year as he is on a rival, but Poyer will always go down as a great Bill in my mind bit of a dirty hit? the kid will be out weeks. weeks he could of continued building his chemistry with JA. instead, the retread former bill still taking his dirty whacks, took the kid out. no pain, no gain, am I right. no, I lost a bunch of respect for him whether it was his play or not. it pissed me off then and it still pisses me off the kids missing time because of that hit. he'll come back strong, take his licks. he's a tough kid and tough competitor. I look forward to his future. poyer, I'll have no problem forgetting about him. I doubt he's back next season and the fins won't sniff the playoffs. Coleman's injury was his wrist, not his head lol how can you fault poyer for hitting him in the wrist area when he's going 100 mph and trying to break up a pass? At the end of the day it's a penalty cause he got him in the head, but it's not like he was trying to hurt Coleman on the play and the wrist injury is just unfortunate 2 1
EmotionallyUnstable
My only disappointment about this is that he and the fans have been robbed of seeing what his entire rookie season would like in comparison to the other rookie WRs. It’s always fun to discuss and compare, plus watching him gets you opportunity to get excited (or not) about his future. The offense will be fine in the meantime, IMO. But it mostly bums me out for that reason.

They’re good players but that’s a really easy offense to defend schematically 2

Straight Hucklebuck
Yeah I think the big takeaway for me is this organization needs a philosophical shift this off-season. Can’t do anything about it now. They have to start keeping six WRs on the roster, and they need to start drafting WRs earlier every season. I know, I know, Bills need Defensive Line, Linebacker and Safety. But year after year with these street free agents - Emmanuel Sanders, Jamison Crowder, Deonte Harty, Trent Sherfield, now Curtis Samuel and Mack Hollins. Do not waste money and re-sign Amari Cooper this off-season. Get younger and faster. It’s Game 10 this weekend and your WR group is Mack Hollins, Curtis Samuel, Kahlil Shakir and Jalen Virgil. This team always keeps 5, and it bites them every single year. Stop with these old players and build your group. Invest. 3 1 2

This past draft was the perfect year to double dip at WR IMO as it was such a stacked class. Especially when we have a 2nd round pick in Bishop who is just sitting on the bench Edited November 9 by BillsFan130 2

I know it's bad to look ahead, but at this rate we'll have zero weapons against KC.

Especially when we have a 2nd round pick in Bishop who is just sitting on the bench Yeah, in the running for largest flaw with Beane’s team building philosophy… 1. Not interviewing for OC 2. Running a largely static and passive Defensive Scheme 3. Overvalue of players that know the system 4. Assembling a generally smaller stature team. 5. The idea of retaining as much of the 2020 team together for as long as possible stretching the cap thin. The one that sticks out to me is the lack of investment at WR from 2018 - 2024. Your point about the last draft is a good one. 1st Round - Diggs 2nd Round - Coleman 3rd Round - None (unless it’s the 11-game rental of Cooper) 4th Round - Gabe Davis 5th Round - Shakir, Shorter 6th Round - Hodgins, Stevenson, McCloud 7th Round - Proehl It’s just not a lot of top end investment for 7-years of drafts. This team has been loyal to its core, so Rousseau, Bernard, D. Williams, Benford, Shakir will require cap space considerations, so Von, DaQuan, potentially Douglas? will likely be phased out, leaving the cap largely strained. Safety, Linebacker, Defensive Line, Corner could all use another young player, but offensively one more year of Cook, one more year of an intact offensive line, should keep the Bills free to move on from Cooper, Hollins, and select two WRs in the next draft. I just think the model of free agent WRs on their last legs ending up here, always hurt, always running out of gas, has proven to be a faulty model. 1

We’ll see how cooper does but with todays health stuff at 30 he’s got another 3 years to be a really good Z for the Bills, but with what Keon has showed he can absolutely be an alpha dog WR and then you got Kalil in the slot and you are absolutely good to go with them as your starter’s especially with Kincaid as your TE. It’s not elite but with Allen that is gonna a great but not elite pass catching corps. Then you’re just really managing depth with dudes like Mack Hollins, Samuel, Hamler, etc
GoBillsForeverAndAlways Posted yesterday at 02:14 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:14 AM Really hope we get Coleman back as soon as possible especially with the teams we have coming up. I feel like he's been building chemistry with Josh all season long and I can't wait to see that continue. Always great watching those two on the field
