Not saying this was the case, but any player playing with the intent to injure another is a scumbag imho. Because they want to be right about all their off season complaining about the signing of him. He was a key part of our win today, but when you can’t acknowledge that and instead dump on him then you’re just pushing an agenda rather than providing anything objective. 9

Come on now... this is a Bills board, not some wackadoodle news network. We can have different opinions based upon play from week to week or month to month. Hollins didn't look that good to start but he is catching on now... totally legitimate to criticize him early. I remained positive about our WRs and still am despite Samuel's struggles and the need to trade for Cooper.

BobbyC81
I was just watching the Detroit/Green Bay game and there was a hit by a Detroit DB on a Green Bay that looked exactly like Poyer’s hit on Coleman and New York intervened and disqualified the Detroit player from the game. Where they not paying attention then to the play in the Bills’ game? Didn’t Poyer also have an unsportsmanlike hit in the first game? He holding a grudge for being cut? 1
DrPJax
1 hour ago, ColoradoBills said: I'm usually of the opinion if it was a break (or something really bad) we would have heard rumors about it already. The longer the silence the better IMO. I wonder. In my experience following the Bills , time is not relative to the diagnosis , unless it was a compound fx( breaking thru skin or with open laceration , as that is a surgical urgency / emergency which would have him getting surgery tonight ). Only reason I say that is initial films at stadium could be negative, yet a callous or healing line could show up 24 - 72 hours later in a subtle , non displaced fracture. Add the McD secrecy factor and you might not know until Wednesday with the Bills. ( or really ever exactly with McD) It would still be splinted / casted most likely, so with the Bills , knowing nothing right away is typical. If it is in the wrist , not forearm ( when I rewatched it , admittedly just got one review for three seconds , it looked higher than the wrist , like lower forearm took biggest impact , but I admit with just that tv view I can’t be sure. ), it could initially look neg but if pain persists , might show up later. It is diff with pro football tho as they aren’t dealing with reg insurance , may own a dedicated mri even or just have deal with a diagnostic radiology company , and more likely to jump quickly to more advanced things like ct scan or mri to evaluate ligaments in wrist etc. , which doesn’t happen with reg public. So , I don’t think not hearing right away means it’s less likely a fracture. I hope for him it’s a bad contusion, or non displaced fracture ( everything in alignment and in place) , so he might not miss extended time. If it’s a slightly displaced fracture or in one of the many formal wrist bones , he might be out a couple of months as a receiver , as casting will cause atrophy of forearm muscles , which complicates recovery for a position so dependent on two hands. Hoping for the best as he is having a great season. Will miss him next week against the colts watching them vs Vikings if he does miss time. Really enjoying watching he and Josh develop chemistry as season progressed.

I don't know if there's any real malice behind the hits, but it does raise an eyebrow.

I agree the one in the earlier game was ignorant and unnecessary. imo, that one today was a guy playing hard football trying to break up a critical pass that was potentially going to decide that game. He absolutely had to attack the ball and receiver without regards to anybody's safety to prevent that completion. If he doesn't and Coleman catches it, he's let his teammates down. 3

To me that looks more like when the injury could of happened than when Poyer's shoulder pad hit his forearm.

It looks like the left wrist hit hard & awkwardly on the ground. Or at least it was his left wrist that appeared to take the weight of his body as he landed. If he doesn't and Coleman catches it, he's let his teammates down. then attack the ball. Make a play on the ball. He didn't do that. Maybe he didn't do that because he's a step slow now and couldn't, but he didn't play the ball, he just blew a guy up. In 1985 that's a great play. It's not 1985.

What I actually said was certain people still can’t acknowledge when he has a good game or makes good plays like today and instead persist to trash him even on the back of a strong performance. That is what an agenda is. Trashing or questioning him initially or early, but now still acknowledging him when he does something good like you just did is not at all what I was referencing or calling an agenda. That’s is called being objective on the subject, which is what everyone should be on any subject. So clearly, you’re not who I was talking about…and kudos to you for that as well. He’s not holding a grudge for being cut. Dudes wife wanted out of Buffalo. A big payday with Florida taxes was what they wanted. He has made plays like that in the past, so not surprised. His excuse was absolute garbage and he needs to be fined. Ejected? Possibly, but don’t see that often. Need to rewatch the game and see if he was out of position and as making up for that, or was he just joining in late period.
