Bad , brutal penalty on Jordan. He single handedly lost the game for his team. You have to wonder what the mentality of a veteran leads him to go helmet to helmet when that always gets called. Does he want to hurt the opponent or is he just checked out by all the losing.

I mean not to defend what was a pretty terrible dirty hit, but laying all of that at the feat of Poyer is BS. 1.Without that awful hit Coleman likely catches that ball putting us in even better field position, he literally has it before Poyer tries to Tua him. 2. It should have ben DPI anyway.

so your defense of him is that they were likely losing either way?

No ***** him for the dirty hit as I've said before, but the idea that them losing is all his fault is dumb.

It was a penalty but people need to calm down. He was trying to separate the ball from the receiver.  He could not know the ball was already out and it is not clear he intended on head to head there.  It happens, this stuff is bang bang in real life not slow motion like you get to look at it after.

Kudos to Beane for knowing when to drop dead weight.

Poyer should have retired and it shows.  He's one of the worst rated safeties in the NFL this season.

Well... Branch just got ejected for a hit to the head so maybe you're onto something.

same play.  Wild the league buzzed into eject branch.

feels like some corrupt college football nonsense.

Agreed.

Fins fans on social media all off season were saying the Bills had a "fire sale" and dumped Poyers contract, not realizing we were actually dumping dead weight......they're realizing it now.

Likely is not yet worthy of Coleman because he is fully capable of dropping passes on his own as he did on the interception. I didn’t think that was a DPI. On 3rd down if they break up the pass, it’s OT. The hit was clearly a targeting, head hunting type of hit. Don’t lay the loss at Poyer’s feet but when you put Josh on the 45 with 37 seconds left and a TO, you figure he’s going to get 15 yds since he scored on every possession in the 2nd half.

The Lions’ safety Branch just got ejected by Park Avenue for nearly the same hit.  Some consistency would be nice.

That wasn't a random shot downfield in the 2nd qrtr.

The game was riding on the ball there and they have to give him some leeway to attack it.

The penalty was the right call but an ejection on a game deciding play would have been wildly inappropriate, imo.

Yeah, some here are downplaying Poyer’s habit of cheap shots. He also did the same to Khalil Shakir Week 2.

I don’t care what anybody says.. Dude’s a mercenary, even against his old longtime teammates. The NFL should consider more than the customary fine with him..

No that’s an extreme overreaction. Definitely a penalty, He will get a fine, that’s what he deserves

It didn’t look like intentional headhunting.  He tried to lower the boom with his shoulder and ended up clipping Coleman’s facemask with the top of helmet.   Textbook penalty.

Tough spot for Poyer though.  If he didn’t go for the big hit and Coleman catches the pass he gets criticized for lack of effort.
