But it would be a huge pickup to get a monster 1 tech. DQ is a high-end backup, low end starter with a beast beside him. I just don't know if anyone is out there on the cheap (trade wise), that upgrades over DQ At times, Ed seems unblockable and looks like Aaron Donald. Other times you don't even know he's out there. More often the latter though. Truly a mystery. I think Ed's success highly depends on the success of the other DT being able to push the OL into the backfield or at least hold his ground. I don't know what the solution is. You don't want to give up big plays, I get it, but giving up an 8 minute 97 yard TD drive isn't much better. I think we might need to trade for a big DT. Daquan has fallen off hard and Oliver gets pushed around. Yeah, we suck against the run, but we were essentially conceding it at times along with the TE and paases to their RBs . While Hill had 4 for 80, we actually did a pretty good job of containing him and Waddle was a non-factor. Gonna be another big challenge against Taylor next week, too. 1 Quote

Those guys have to be acquired via the draft. lots of people threw out simmons name last week but how does buffalo handle his salary and u can't give up anything more than a 5 or maybe a 4 after already giving up a third. 1 Quote

You'd think something like a 5th and getting a 7th back would get it done. Not sure what the cap implications would be. But that would immediately knock our worst player (Zion Logue) off the roster and shore up the biggest weakness on the team. 1 3 Quote

I feel so good for everyone involved. The defense on the other hand isn't beating anyone good that is committed to running the ball. Our defensive line just isn't built for it. With our cap situation, I am not sure Beane is ready to go out and do something about it before the deadline either. We really need a run stuffing DT, though. Badly..... Listen to taron Johnson's presser The bills were ok with the fins running the ball as opposed to trying to chuck it around. They felt if the dolphins played a run heavy game they were ok with it and believed our offense would outscore them Edited November 3 by TBBills Fan 2 1 1 Quote
vincec Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I’m happy for the win and so happy for Bass, but at the time I thought the Bills decision to kick a field goal there was dumb. if Bass missed, Dolphins had two timeouts, could have very easily picked up 10 or so for the Sanders FG. 1 Quote

I do wonder if there's any awkwardness or hesitation from defensive players when they see him running at this point. Like nobody would want to turn this guy into a vegetable. If a defender has a reluctance to hit him, he shouldnt be on the field. Tua is a helluva competitor and the grit he showed on that 4th down scramble for the first down really underscored that. I didn’t see any defender letting up at all on that play in the least. They just missed the sack and had outstanding coverage down field. Quote

Reminded me of the ball he threw into the dirt on the last drive of the heat game Wonder if he hurt a finger or two on his throwing hand. There was one play where his hand hit the hand of a player rushing him and right afterwards was holding his hand. Quote

Thrivefourfive Posted November 3 Posted November 3 The horrid run defense is even more suspect given the putrid pass rush. Looks like we’re going to Bandaid ourselves to another mid playoff exit to a superior talented and better coached team. How fun. Can’t stop the run and can’t touch the passer — nice job on that front, McBeane. 1 1 Quote

Worst case scenario is they don’t make it and they still have two timeouts. Worst case is they don’t make it and they never get the ball back. 2 Quote
