Now if a shin counts as a "body part" to satisfy a catch, it should make a runner down. 

 

So it should be spotted when his shin touched, not his knee.

I can't remember a time McDermott has ever won a challenge. I'm sure he has, but whoever is in his ear telling him these are good challenges needs to go.

His shin is down before the knee. Shouldn’t that be down. In the Jets game the other night shin down before the knee came down ended the play and was a TD

No, it's where his first body part hits after he dives. Not where he starts the dive.
