I mean judging by the reactions it's hard to believe it's scripted, don't see Josh, McD etc signing off on purposely deceiving ppl. This guy has tons of videos dating back years Quote
Not at the table Karlos Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Is this the same guy as the beginning of the season or a different one? Quote

I have had this done to me when I was living in LA. I had a junior level magician explain it to me and its one of those psychological tricks done at the highest level. This Oz guy practices it like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant practiced basketball which was insane levels.....I think we all could do it if we dedicated that much time. I just don't have that love for it. Quote

Brand J Posted November 3 Posted November 3 The way it was explained to me, was that the answers to the questions are planted throughout their environment, everywhere, the people can’t help but to see them over and over, but they don’t realize what they’re seeing. When the mentalist asks the questions, the people give an answer that reflects what they’ve been subconsciously seeing. The biggest hurdle I see in that is that the person still has to say what you expect him/her to say and I’ve never seen it fail. They’ve never deviated from the answer the mentalist needs, so that’s the weird part. Quote

Does he assume everybody's answer would be Disney world when asked the question? Quote

Even if a certain person is targeted and subconsciously influenced to say a specific thing, they’ve still gotta say it. Never have I seen a mentalist stuck with an answer they weren’t expecting. US Egg Posted November 3 Posted November 3 You do know that in Britain the word mentalist is…..well it is. Quote
harryS Posted November 3 Posted November 3 For the cake trick, I for sure would not taste that cake. The black stuff is not chocolate or cake. "Mickey" was not a very complex shape with one big circle and two small circles. (Oz is a rich man can afford better props than typical magicians, but this trick has been around for awhile.) For the 8850 trick, Josh and his center were in on the trick. Quote
