Joe Ferguson forever Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Yeah. Didn’t care for the musical guest but Kamala was on point. 1 1
JaCrispy Posted November 3 Posted November 3 (edited) Props to her…It was a good performance…being able to laugh at yourself is what humanizes you to other people, even if it was still scripted…😉 Ultimately, even though I’m team Trump, I think Harris will win… Edited November 3 by JaCrispy 2 2
K D Posted November 3 Posted November 3 She's an unlikeable cackling ****. Trump is also unlikeable to many but I don't think these things move the needle because neither side is someone I want to see on TV. Just fix the country

BillsFanNC Posted November 3 Posted November 3 This reference goes back to the era when I last watched SNL. 1

After 4 years of Kamala I'm betting few will be laughing with joy.
Joe Ferguson forever Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Tim Kaine's skit was great. Amazing how awkward he is on TV. He's charming and relaxed in real life especially when accompanied by his charming wife.
Wacka Posted November 3 Posted November 3 They copied the skit Trump did in 2015, except Trump was much better. Even his Trump Chicken Wings sketch then was better. Losers show up on SNL right before or after the election. McCain and Palin were on the Saturday after they lost. 1
Wacka Posted November 3 Posted November 3 When I went out and marched in SF FOR Bush in 2000 the libs were giving us thousands of fingers. All we did was blow kisses at them and said "Thank you. Yes Bush is #1!" Made them even madder.
B-Man Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Awwww, what does he know. FCC Commissioner: Kamala’s SNL Appearance A ‘Blatant Effort To Evade’ Equal Time Rule By Virginia Kruta FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr said the appearance on the network’s flagship sketch comedy show was a “clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC’s Equal Time rule.” Carr made his point in a post on X, noting that the timing and Harris’ appearance — not announced until the day it was happening and took place just three days prior to the November 5 general election — effectively eliminated any possibility for her competitor, former President Donald Trump, to receive the federally-mandated “equal time.” He went on to note that the issue had arisen in 2016 when Trump appeared on the same show, and that former President Barack Obama’s FCC chair had stated that the “Equal Time” provision would be enforced. “In the 2016 cycle, President Obama’s FCC Chair made clear that the agency would enforce the Equal Time rule when candidate Trump went on SNL. NBC stations publicly filed Equal Opportunity notices to ensure that all other qualifying candidates could obtain Equal Time if they sought it. Stations did the same thing when Clinton appeared on SNL,” he explained. https://www.dailywire.com/news/fcc-commissioner-kamalas-snl-appearance-a-blatant-effort-to-evade-equal-time-rule

A decision was made that violated rules and guidelines designed to avoid erosion of trust in institutions and the obvious appearance of impropriety. A complaint ensued, impropriety acknowledged and a resolution decided upon. At a time when trust in once favored institutions is flatlining, perhaps instead of blaming the arbiter of fairness and/or the victim of deception, you simply acknowledge that the rule is well-established and compliance amazingly simple. 2 1
