Disclaimer2: I hate the Dolphins.

As a guy at the doorstep of his 8th decade, like many here, I’m a defacto Bills historian having seen them from their original Lions-wannabe colors of Silver and Light blue on B&W TVs with rabbit ears to RedZone & NFL+ on my iPads. From Ritchie Lucas to Hailee Steinfeld.. The AFL was one of my earliest passions and I knew all 33 players on every team, even as the League grew in teams. Greg Cook and the Bengals were an instant hit while Danny Thomas’ cute aqua & teal ‘Flippers’ from Miami seemed not to be taken seriously. Even as the Bills crashed & burned at the end of the League’s lone decade, we could still beat or tie the hapless fish. Then came the 70’s and our welcome to the NFL. It was truly amazing to see us line up against the Los Angeles Rams at home while playing Johnny Unitas’ Colts twice a year! (We lost 2, tied 1 of those games..) Adding insult to injury, after Namath shook up the world in SBIII, the Colts young HC Don Shula jumped ship and became Miami’s new leader. As we sunk to depths of gigantic proportions, the Dolphins would never lose to us throughout the entire next decade, going 20-0! This damn albatross has hung on our collective necks for the past FIFTY FOUR  YEARS!

Levy & Kelly put a serious dent in the perennial mismatch with numerous playoff victories and McDermott & Allen have picked it up from there, finally drawing to within 3 games of squaring the overall record! A win today likely means no 3rd game this season as the fish will be gutted and grilled. So sweeping them again next season will be priority #1 to finally draw EVEN!

Moral of the story? Ya just gotta live long enough..

With the Jets beating Houston Thursday night, there’s still a lot of important football left to play. After our 3-0 start, we dropped 2 and now we’re on a 2nd 3-0 run. But this is no time to rest on recent laurels! This is a bigger challenge than normal, given our phenomenal performance last week, where 35 thousand Bills fans travelled the entire width of the nation to personally witness the incredible ass-whooping we put on the Seattle Seahawks! We actually made their QB Geno Smith CRY 😭 on the sideline! 🤣

For fear of jinxing us, I’ll just say the future looks very promising! Just keep your head down and stay focused, Bills!

As for Miami with Tua back, this game is still a mismatch. Simply stated, they suck & we Rock! But the threat they pose with their billion$$ talent at the skill positions is real! Thanks to Cap restraints, the rest of the team are just a bunch of jags and that was before their 4 best Defensive guys not practicing due to injury and probably won’t play. Their organization is a clusterfart, their owner is crooked and their coach is a weird neophyte who can’t win big games. Yes, I hate them!🤷‍♂️ They can be run on (16th ranked) but are very good vs the pass (5th best) though, again, missing some key players. DT Zack Sieler (orbital socket) is out so that should encourage more OL dominance for us. Ball & clock control will be essential along with a rowdy, proud crowd rocking all the way to the cheap seats and shaking the remaining Fall foliage to the ground. Another beautiful day is expected with partly sunny skies and temperature in the mid 50’s. November is when the contenders separate from the pretenders so this is a must do game! With Bernard & Benford likely to return and Allen, Cook, Shakir, Kincaid, Coleman and the entire OL tearing it up, what’s not to love about this team and our chances? Halloween 🎃 has passed, so the fish are desperate and we need to be on top of our game to drive the nail into their ⚰️

Plus, we shorten the overall lead in the Head to Head record to TWO!

GITERDONE, BILLS!

Let’s DO THIS!

GO BILLS!

A little trip to our treasured past, 1970 and new members of the National Football League

I didn’t think Miami would get a blizzard playing just after Halloween, but I was hoping for a little more seasonal temperature than the forecast calls for. Me and McDaniel wish it were colder.

I remember snow on Halloween as a kid.  These days we get more unusual hot days than cold days.
