Fining is interesting.  Sometimes player is penalized (i.e. AJE for unnecessary roughness on Aaron Rodgers) and NFL does not fine and sometimes there is no penalty Andreessen hit with helmet when he did not lead with it but there is a fine.

The post game fines are such a joke, especially when penalty was called.  Fining Buffalo Joe on that awesome tackle is a joke

NFL fines while technologically subjective... Come with a description of why you're being fined and a video of the play 

 

You are also allowed to dispute it...

 

Now.. the NFL also does not make money off of these fines... They are not getting rich off of finding millionaires 

 

They take the fine money.. and redistributed back to NFL retired players who need assistance.. and grassroots NFL movements from the high school level down

While this is true, it’s not altruistic on the NFL’s part. It’s collectively bargained.

 

The NFL saves money by not having to pay out of pocket to support former players. And they do so by fining current players. This is a cost saving measure - not a good deed.

So a league owned my 32ish Billionaires needs to fine a rookie LBer who isn't making much in the grand scheme  of things to help NFL vets who need it rather than just help them

Disagree about Mondays for you could say thing about Saturday evenings and if you push it teams flying coast to coast.

Teams have a disadvantage on Mondays but it is made up following week.

Definitely not a perfect system 

 

And obviously andresen is not making much money compared to his peers...

 

He will earn north of 790,000 this year... So yeah a $5,000 fine for a rookie undrafted guy is a bit much for not a dirty play 

 

But making the roster he did earn a nice chunk of change
