The only thing left in the saga of Peanut is for some business to start selling T shirts with the squirrel on it for all of MAGA to buy. What a dumb story.

The dumb part is why the State needs to send 10 agents to apprehend a Squirrel that isn't bothering or threatening anyone. How about one guy rings the doorbell and talks to the owner?

Test the people hatching this operation for brain damage. Unaccountable morons strike again.

What it tells us is that the government is too big and is way too involved in our day to day lives. But yeah, trump.

In fairness to @Andy1, we don’t know—and in fact, we cannot know—if the squirrel was menacing neighbors, walking around, bullying kids and taking their lunch money, or ran with the very dangerous 6th Street Flying Squirrel MC that’s running guns and meth through South Elmira.

Let me understand this, a squirrel (goes by the name P-Nut), got the death sentence and the drug dealer doesn't need bail money for the 34th time. The woke culture can be confusing.

Did P-Nut not use his pro nouns correctly?

I think we also need to consider the State's concern with the Racoon. From my observations of animal life around my home, Squirrels find Raccoons to be a danger and make a distinct pattern of squawks to alert their friends in the area of the danger. This typically alerts to the presence of a Racoon, Fox, or perhaps a Feral Cat or even a circling Vulture, pattern searching for road kill from above. Could this be some sort of domestic violence situation involving a natural enemy, a Racoon, that astute government employees cleverly uncovered?

Another angle, from his photos, Peanut does not appear to be a common Eastern Grey Squirrel or a Black Squirrel that you might see waiting on unsuspecting picnickers to leave their goodies unattended on the US side of the Falls. Peanut may be a Red Squirrel. So some sort of racially motivated situation between the classes of Squirrel breeds could be taking place. Once again astute government personnel, fully trained in DEI, for humans, were able to utilize and transpose their training to other mammals to sniff out bias and discrimination in order to execute the victim.

Or could it be government work just attracts idiots which the other idiots in charge eagerly hire?

WHAT  ??

They lied about the circumstances ?

"A newly revealed timeline shows state officials advised the county to euthanize the pets a full seven days before they were taken from their unofficial caretaker Mark Longo on Oct. 30 — even though the Department of Environmental Conservation later said the squirrel bit an agent during the raid, sparking the need for the test."

On Oct. 30, nine conservation officers went to the Longo household and spent about five hours "ransacking" it, Longo said, adding that he and his wife were detained during the search, his wife's immigration status was questioned, and the home was checked for cameras. (Longo's wife Daniela is a German immigrant.)

Do you still believe this is a story about a squirrel?

Of course not! This story is about so much much more than a squirrel 🐿️

This poor innocent squirrel represents the persecution of all the good men and women who never use pronouns he/him, they/them after their name. The squirrel never used pronouns. If the government could murder the squirrel, they could murder all the good pronounless people too.

The story of poor peanut is the story of massive government overreach into our homes. If the black booted government thugs could take peanut out of his home, they could take any of our squirrels, chipmunks or mice out of our homes. I think I hear something scratching the ceiling in my attic. Who do I call?

Poor peanut represents the struggle of all hard working blue collar people against the big bad government machine that is trying to keep them down. Rage Against the Machine! How dare they! Violence against one rodent is violence against all rodents! Squirrels, chipmunks, mice and rats unite! Together they can stand strong against government tyranny!

Maybe the story is about how stupid people are to get so excited over nothing. Meanwhile Peanuts owner gets his moment of fame to capitalize on it all with his go fund me to get rich. I doubt he is really sad about how this turned out. At this rate, he is going to be invited to the White House in January when Trump moves in. Trump will probably name him Director of the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

That’s a lot of typing over a squirrel. Looks like you have your finger, albeit sore from typing, on the pulse of things. Let’s go government!

I read an opinion piece that identified the NYS DEC official that authorized the commando raid on the animal sanctuary and home as Karen Przyklek but I know nothing about this person. The identity of the person filing multiple complaints of potential rabies and biting by Peanut remains unknown. As does the facts around whether or not any of them are true. The results of rabies tests on the euthanized animals Peanut the Squirrel and Fred the Racoon to my knowledge remain a secret. My guess is if the rabies tests were positive that State would have released them immediately. So they were almost certainly 100% negative.

A lot of people are saying what's the fuss about a Squirrel and there's some credence to that argument. But those concluding that are missing the point of the event. It's an example of government acting with malicious intent and using excessive force, because they want to show you who's the boss, and afterward feeling they have no accountability or responsibility to provide clear and truthful explanations for their actions and motivations or any information to the owner or the public which would justify their actions.

If you have a pet, perhaps a dog or a cat, and live in NYS think about your relationship with the creature living in your home and then put yourself in the place of Peanut's owner. And then think about what the State did here and understand the DEC can feel compelled to raid your home, and remove and kill your pet solely based on an undisclosed and unproven complaint, not provide you any explanation, and given today's lack of government accountability they'll suffer no consequences or discipline for their evil act.

In this case they should all be fired from top on down just to make another "example". This time one that sends a crystal clear message.
