Hello im coming up to Buffalo this weekend for the Miami game and hotel prices are insane. Does anyone recommend anywhere without breaking the bank. Ideally near downtown but willing to drive a bit to save some cash.

thanks!

Budget?

The Stadium View Inn near the stadium is reasonably priced. You can get it via Priceline for about $115.00 per night.

Op, just did a google search on Hamburg, NY hotels.  I just searched for you and a Holiday Inn Express for $169 and stated under booked.  Hamburg is next to Orchard Park so not far.

Hope that helps as those comfort inns are usually clean and has a little amenities.  I wouldn’t stay at one of the local crap hotels right by the stadium.

@Returntoglory probably found you the best.

Not a bad place and within walking distance.

The red carpet inn is right round the corner and a decent stay. Breakfast is included and the price is usually like $100 if you can book it at the start of the season, easier said than done sometimes. Now it’s probably $175+.

EDIT: 225$ @ red carpet inn

          130$ @ stadium view inn

those are for Saturday check in, Sunday check out.

There are a bunch of hotels in the UB-Amherst Campus area that are reasonable places to stay and won't break the bank.  They're generally near the 290, so you can get downtown or most places in/near the city (and to Niagara Falls, if you are so inclined) very quickly by car and an Uber would not be terribly expensive, given the money you'll save on the hotel.  These hotels are near the Millersport and Niagara Falls Boulevard exits off the 290.  Given that they're in the Northtowns, it's a longer drive out to the Stadium on Sunday, but you're well situated for the rest of the weekend.  That's typically where I stay when I visit Buffalo and it's worked out well.

If you want things to do in walking distance, downtown is your only option. The suburbs are pretty lame but prob a little cheaper.

Hyatt downtown is only $250/night.

Hamburg usually has some ones with decent prices...think there is a Motel 6 or Super 8 off Route 75 Camp Rd that usually is under 100 a night.

  • Simon changed the title to Buffalo hotels (this is a question but I am too lazy to type a simple question mark)

Try an Air BnB

We stayed in a really nice AirBnB in Elmwood Village last year for the Giants game.  It was fairly inexpensive too.

Yeah I guess main Street williamsville is pretty lame

That’s my go-to spot, but I’m just realizing it’s pretty pricey and the Hampton Inn is full. I should book my reservations now for the opening two weeks next year then cancel the road weekend. I’ll spend more as long as I’m getting more.

Try on Slade Ave. West Seneca. Three hotels, Hampton, Staybridge Suites, County Inn. 15 minutes to stadium, game day obviously longer, but a couple ways to get there, hotels right off thruway. Always Bills fans there.

There are a bunch of nice places in walking distance along Main St in Williamsville, many with live music. And it doesn’t seem to be any cheaper, in fact it’s more than many places downtown. You usually get what you pay for. Downtown is not the only option.

Well yes that's the catch

It's definitely pretty pricey area.. but it has good walking areas.. live music as you said, varieties of food and bars, ice cream

Last year I went to Lenox, 140 North St.

If you are going  just to sleep is ok and cheap.

Is near a Tim Horton for breakfast and anchor bar.

Good Luck!
