How is it possible our schedule includes AFCE x2 and somehow Chiefs still have an easier road?

Probably because the tough part of their schedule is over. Some media folks and fans were predicting they’d start 0-2.

It may be a bit early to discuss, but we are basically at the season midpoint.

KC  7-0

BUF  6-2

I expect the AFC North teams to take each other out

KC Schedule

Unless the Bucs or Broncos win at Arrowhead, KC will be 9-0 coming to Orchard Park.

The only other challenging games on their schedule are PIT and HOU.

KC has a floor of 13 wins IMO.  Very likely they get to 14

Personally, I don't see a very good chance of the #1 Seed.

BAL having 3 losses already & HOU losing last night certainly helps though.

If we can win the next 2 games and beat KC to have the H2H Tiebreaker, we could have a legit shot at it

Good analysis and I agree 100%.

The Lions game in Detroit may be the toughest game the Bills have on schedule including the Chiefs game.

these chiefs would either have to have a real fall apart moment, or have some key players hurt for them to not own the 1 seed at the end of the season, but stranger things have happened.

us having only 3 losses at the end of the season would be pretty monster given where we are right now and who are are slated to play, so  if we beat the chiefs and drop one vs the rams/sf/det and kc has afc losses so we win on a tie breaker seems like the most likely but still very unprobeable path to the 1 seed.

winning the division and being healthy is the most important thing.

TB, MM, and everyone on D and O being in tip top shape is worth a lot more than homefield and even a bye.

Home field doesn't seem to matter since the Bills got knocked out of the playoffs back to back years in Buffalo.

I completely agree. Yes getting the 1 seed and extra rest (healing) is important but far from critical.  Going into the playoffs with a healthy team is 20x more important.

Yes it makes me nauseous, throwing up with gallons of undigested food, rash from the hives, headache, etc.

Truly sick.  Don't post it again unless you like it and want other posters ill as well.

You make great points but not even being a hater, every week is unique,  nothing is guaranteed and KC hasn't looked good imo..

Certainly doesn't look like a 7-0 team.

Right now, week 9, Bills look like the #1 team in the AFC.... Imo

Not too me.  Two very poor games with some injuries but all teams are dealing with it  (where is the PFF Team Injury score?  😝) and Bills have had some really bad starts.  I think some of this is due to so many new players and so much dead cap cutting players.

Unlikely but possible we get the #1 seed (win the next three and let's talk then!).  But as others have said, rest at the end of the regular season is critical, so having division/seeding locked up before Week 18 would be pretty awesome too!

Also, we may need to work very hard to get the #1 seed and the team may reached its peak to get that seed only to lose in the playoffs.  I would rather have the team have the health and momentum in the playoffs.

Not too early at all, Warrior.

I do think at least one of the Bucs or Broncos will take KC.  Yes, KC is the back to back SB champion, but they have a bit of  2023 Eagles stink on them, too.

The very best I believe we can hope for is 14-3.  I just don’t think we can roll in to Detroit and win.  Additionally, LA is officially off of the easy list and SF is getting healthier.  However, make no doubt about I truly believe if they get to 14-3, including a win agains the chiefs,  it should be enough to do it with tie breakers as I see the chiefs at 14-3, as well.

Go Bills!

How quickly the posts change. For two years all we heard on here was just get KC at home in the playoffs and all will be OK.

But your point is well taken. Home field is an advantage but nowhere near an insurmountable advantage.

I am a realist... after seeing the Bills look pedestrian vs. the Bengals and the same bugaboos come up vs. the Chiefs, I have come to the "punch your ticket and let the chips fall where they may" conclusion.

Per usual the voice of both reason and glass half full kind of bridled optimism that blends better than a Dole Whip twist on a baking Florida afternoon in Adventureland!! I’ll follow your analysis to the Super Bowl this year 🫡

You, Sir (well and properly earned title), know exactly where to hit them, especially with me.

If you haven’t run your marathon yet (or even if you have) please go to the new Cake Bake Shop Bakery shop on the boardwalk.  Expensive, yes, but I need someone I wholly trust to give me the real deets!

…to be clear…maybe you go after the race.

Go Bills! Go HUDs!

Being healthy, rest, and home field are all important but probably ranked in that order (healthy being the most important and also somewhat correlated to rest/resting players, of course).  That said, I wouldn't say home field is meaningless or irrelevant.  We generally have better results at home vs. away, and I get the sense noise impacts Josh perhaps a bit more than other QBs.
