More important than the one seed IMO is not facing Baltimore in the divisional round. As things currently stand, unless there is an upset by 6 or 7, the five seeded Ravens (beating Houston in Wild Card round) would face KC in the divisional. That would be a dream scenario with Bills playing Steelers in Divisional.

we should be rooting hard for the Steelers here on out.

Texans have a brutal schedule so I see them finishing as the four seeded division winner.

Baltimore and Steelers will probably come down to the wire for the division.

It may be a bit early to discuss, but we are basically at the season midpoint.

KC  7-0

BUF  6-2

I expect the AFC North teams to take each other out

KC Schedule

Unless the Bucs or Broncos win at Arrowhead, KC will be 9-0 coming to Orchard Park.

The only other challenging games on their schedule are PIT and HOU.

KC has a floor of 13 wins IMO.  Very likely they get to 14

Personally, I don't see a very good chance of the #1 Seed.

BAL having 3 losses already & HOU losing last night certainly helps though.

If we can win the next 2 games and beat KC to have the H2H Tiebreaker, we could have a legit shot at it

KC has not been dominating this season.  They have won a bunch of close games and pulled away in the 4th in others…every single game was a one score game in the 4th quarter.  This team could easily be 3-4.

all divisional games are not easy games.
Besides Bills…

they have 4 division games 2 against Denver

cleveland, Houston, Pittsburgh, TB

Then there is Carolina

bills have..

KC

4 div games

SF, Rams, Detroit , indy

and their bye

I really don’t care about the number one seed because playing KC at home makes no difference.

I just want the Bills to win every game they play and just let the chips fall where they may.

The Bills look like a team that is building momentum right now while other top AFC teams are looking kind of vulnerable. I see the toughest remaining games the Bills play coming from NFC opponents.

It’s really too bad Evans and Godwin are out vs. the Chiefs.  The Bucs had a chance.  The Broncos may also have a chance with the way Payton is managing his team.

Id say, let’s make it through the Fish and Colts, and then we’ll have a better view, especially if the Chiefs stumble.

Bills do not need the #1 seed. KC will lose in the playoffs before meeting Buffalo.

Don’t think it will happen, but that scenario may be the Bills best chance at reaching the Super Bowl in the next 5 years or so.

I think this is possible....

Chiefs, Bills, Steelers and Texans get conference champions with (5h) Ravens, (6th) Chargers and (7th) Colts.

Other teams possible for 6th and 7th but essential Steelers for 3rd and Ravens for 5th.

1st round playoffs:

Chiefs have bye. Bills & Steelers team win vs opponents; Ravens upsets 4th Texans.

2nd round playoffs:

Chiefs vs Ravens - Ravens lose but defense hammer Chiefs offense and Steelers offense bruises Chiefs defense.

Bills vs Steelers - Bills win.

AFC Championship:

Bills overcome Chiefs, Mahone whines on field Bills won because Chiefs were injured.

Sure, we can beat KC on the road, but the number one seed is important for both the bye and the seeding. I'd rather play Houston than Baltimore, and not play in the WC round.

I am not scared of KC. Let them come at us at full strength. We had them beat in 13 seconds and could have won last year but for Tyler Bass.

That scenario does seem pretty unfair to the Chiefs.  Mahomes would be right to complain.

As some have alluded to here, we are at the point where it is more important who we play than if we play. The bye would be ideal. The chiefs have put themselves in a great spot and it is theirs to lose. I am more interested to read the potential opponents than where the game is played.

Stay healthy and Josh Allen always has a chance.

KC has played like sht and is 7-0. Spags has their defense playing lights out. Does anyone here really think Reid/Mahomes aren’t going to get their act together and roll into the playoffs? They just got Hopkins, he’s not what he was but he will definitely have a similar effect to Cooper with us.

I care more about being relatively healthy than the 1 seed. Sure, 1 seed would be great but the only reason we lost to KC was because we had Klein at LB. I think we are seeing a much more mature and relaxed Josh as opposed to last year. I don’t see Spags confusing him as much as he did last year because Allen is more comfortable in our current offense than trying to force feed Diggs and Davis.

Just win the Division and let the chips fall where they may. We aren’t going 14-3 and most likely aren’t catching the Chiefs. In fact, I don’t care if we lose to them because whenever we beat them in the regular season they beat us in the playoffs. Turn the tables,

Allen's arm also was not in full health (he made comment on how longer throws were easier on his arm than shorter which he would need to throw more of) which is why he was throwing so many long balls.  KC's DBs were constantly hitting Diggs wearing him down but will not so easy to do so with current WRs and if they concentrate on one player Allen will have had plenty of practice spreading it around.

Hate to break it to you, but Tyler Bass is still on the roster…

IMHO, the KC game is the 2nd toughest one remaining for us, with the #1 being at Detroit. The Lions are legit this year.

Baltimore statistically has one of the worst defenses in the league. Giving up the leagues 4th highest passer rating to opposing QB's at 103.5, 7th most points per game and 8th most yards per game and the most passing yards per game given up at 291.  Mahomes should be licking his chops. They do have the leagues #1 rush defense.

That said, I don't want to see the Ravens in the playoffs. Especially on the road. Their offense might be our defenses kryptonite. I'd much prefer to take my chances with the Chiefs for the umpteenth time.

I was referring to the part where the Chiefs had to play both the Ravens and the Steelers in the Divisional round.  😀
