Just looked at the line and it's now Houston+2! Why do so many people think the Jets are winning this? Losing Diggs?

Maybe the oddsmakers figure eventually the Jets will stop tripping over their ***** and actually play a decent game. Or, they figure Rodgers will tap out and Tyrod will save the day.

I'm confused by this Thursday night game, jets are so far behind they should not be a worry but for playoff positioning the Texans are ahead of us.... So realistically who do we want to win on TNF

For sure, Jets, but no matter what, I will enjoy either outcome.

True, there's no "bad" outcome.  And a tie would be perfect!

People keep waiting for the Jets to snap out of it. With their roster, they really should be a top-tier team. It just doesn't make sense that they keep losing. Also, without Diggs and Collins, the Texans are down to an undersized slot receiver, an above-average TE, and Joe Mixon. But, I still think the Texans win. Their pass rush is going to get home.

I made a small wager on the Texans. Hard to pass up Houston +1.

Stroud performs worse on the road. Worse in open air. Texans are 2-3 on the road with those wins vs New England and the Colts (by 2 points). They have 5 wins by 18 points total vs many lackluster teams. Now Diggs is out on top of the other injuries. It's getting excessive.

Houston and the Jets both have serious protection issues. This is actually a very even match up with the Jets at home but the bottom line is whenever I see a game with a 2-6 team favored over a 6-2 team and that 6-2 team is getting hammered by the public I either stay away all together or hammer the opposite team. I'm hesitant to agree with the theory of "trap games" as to me a "trap game" can be recognized in data usually. They tend to be more situation in which perception just doesn't align with what is happening. That is the case in this spot. The spread isn't off, but it sure appears that way. Usually those are good spots to go opposite of the "sure thing".

I'll take the Jets all day here. Under is live as well.

I lived in Manhattan for 7 years and went through a lot of abuse from Jet fans.

I went to every Bills/Jets game at the Meadowlands. Always sporting my Jim Kelly jersey.

After a victory, I would walk around the city proudly sporting my Bills colors.

I lived on the Upper West Side(73rd & Broadway) and worked in Chelsea.

Many times the banter was friendly and thousands of times I'd get the " GO BILLS" or "LET'S GO BUFFALO!".

I loved those days.

But that being said, I ALWAYS want to see the Jets lose!

GO BILLS!

Can't go wrong with this game.  If the Texans lose it helps playoff seeding (we want to be 2 or 3 if KC is 1, or better be the 1 seed but that's going to be a challenge). If the Jets lose, that's never a bad thing.

As much as I enjoy seeing the Jests falter and implode, I have to pull for them to win tonight.  The Bills have a huge lead in the division race and have already beaten the Jests once and they play again in December in Buffalo, so even in the unlikely even that the two teams tie in record, the Bills can secure the tie-breaker with a win in December.

On the other hand, the Bills have already lost to the Texans head-to-head and don't play them again, so the Texans have the tie-breaker if the two teams both win their divisions (likely) and have the same record (very possible, as they currently are both 6-2).  The Bills would need to have a better record than the Texans to achieve a higher seed in the playoffs.

This thread is 7 pages long and I have not read all of the posts, so I assume that the points I am making have already been stated earlier in the thread and to the extent others have said (largely) the same thing, I agree.

This game gives me Buffalo-Cleveland vibes from 2019 where the 6-2 road team was the underdog vs the 2-6 team.  I expect the same result.  The NFL runs the same script again and Jets win😂

Jets still have a ton of talent. Eventually they win a few games.

That said, I took the Texans to win

I'm for whatever gives Buffalo better seeding in the playoffs. Even if there is blizzard like conditions, we are on good shape with the way the run game has been going. I'm thinking our running backs are going to play major roles later in the playoffs while in the regular season Josh is going to light up the scoreboard passing.  It's so nice seeing the passing game ramping up lately.

So basically, I'm not rooting for a Jets win. I'm rooting for a Texans loss.😆
