It's interesting, Beggars night is only in certain parts of the country. Was talking with family about this not too long ago. We remember it growing up in the Buffalo area, but haven't seen it anywhere else.

I always thought beggar's night was just an extra trick or treating day. At least it's was for me growing up on the East side in the 70s.

In the northeast corner of Buffalo, Beggars' Night always seemed to be the mad rush, virtually nothing on Halloween.  Maybe a few 'double dippers' cashing in on the 31st.

Moved to Canada permanently in the late 1970s, there is one night only here in the Niagara Peninsula.  Halloween.🎃
