Very true. Had a stroke in 2014 that I fully recovered from. BP was 245/something.  when I heard that #, the first thought was "I should be dead. now" Every day since then is  bonus time. Was even more blessed this year as I got a kidney transplant after being on the waiting list for only a month. Really changed my outlook on life.

Man, that's exactly what I'm talking about... health issues can take down anyone in a second, especially a stroke and I cannot IMAGINE that.

I love cold weather but ever since my lungs have gotten progressively worse, I can't do it anymore and have to eventually move somewhere in the southwest.

So sad to hear.  Such a mainstay on this board for as long as I can remember.  Sounds like a wonderful man/parent/community member.  He will be missed.

RIP and God Bless.

GO BILLS!

RIP, I had limited interactions with John but he was definitely a memorable poster.

It really puts things into perspective, the fleetingness of existence.  One minute you're here and the next you're gone.

Best thing we can do is try to be decent to one another while we've got the time, John certainly seems to have embodied that from the reactions of everyone here.

Damn, that’s sad to read. I didn’t know him IRL but I had many conversations with him here. I always enjoyed his posts.

RIP John! And my condolences to his family (if any of them ever read this).

This made me really sad on Halloween. John was a super nice guy who was always positive when talking about the Bills (some might say a homer 😉, I can used that term because I used to be one!). But even when he disagreed with you, he was always cordial about it.

Never met him but he was one of the people I remember best from this board. May he rest in peace and get to see the Bills win one.

John always seemed to me to be passionate and yet a gentleman. You will be missed. We all have lost a good man.

So sad to lose any of our posters/fans. We are building a fan base in heaven. Our fans always travel well. For John and all our fans, wherever they are, Go Bills!! 🏈🍻

SDS, thank you for sharing this tragic news with us and for providing such a moving eulogy for John.

I remember him well -- going back over 20 years, he was always a great guy, willing to go down with the ship -- a true believer and an optimist for the Bills and the team's future. RIP, loyal fan and fiend! And prayer for his friends and family that he loved so much!
