WotAGuy
I wonder how much of a negative McDermott feels this is. Do you really want a player around who clearly doesn’t want to be there? I don’t know what the cap implications are after cutting him, but “don’t let the door hit ya on the way out”. Would be nice if they could swing a trade for a S that they could plan to keep for a couple years.

billieve420
Trade him to the NFC or don't send him to any contenders in the AFC is all I would ask if they move him.
JohnBonhamRocks
I’ll bet Taylor Rapp is happy he kept his head down and mouth shut here for a year as primarily a depth piece before getting rewarded as a starter with a 3 year deal. On second thought, given his violent play style, maybe “kept his head down” could be worded better…

McD is a genius with D Backs, and if he doesn’t want Edwards on the field, I trust his judgment. Maybe a backup safety can make it work somewhere else, but he doesn’t seem to be a fit here. For all my issues with McDermott, his evaluation with DB's is NOT one of them. I say package him, maybe Elam for a DT or something. 1 minute ago, WotAGuy said: Yeah, the Bills are making Rapp wear the Guardian cap to protect the other defensive players. All I know is since he put that on, his play has gotten much better. Maybe it slows him down a little?

But, boy oh boy, Dolphins fans are perpetually angry at Jordan Poyer. I don't think Poyer is an upgrade over Rapp at this stage of his career, and maybe only marginally better than Hamlin. 1

It's been noticeable, so it has been very entertaining to watch Dolphins fans realize it in real time.

somnus00
We've been so spoiled by elite safety play for years, that we hate on Damar who has actual played fine this year. By no means is he a star, but he doesn't seem to make many mistakes.
Logic
No one is trading for Mike Edwards. Maybe -- MAYBE -- you could get someone to swap their 6th for our 7th, but I doubt even that. It's more likely that the Bills will just release him because they don't want a malcontent in the locker room.
RunTheBall
Poyer was washed last year. Why do you think he was playing in the box all the time? Tre, as much as I love him, is done as well. If they cut him I’d have no problem putting him on the PS just for the good vibes but his playing days are over. Hilarious that people think he can be converted to safety when he was never a great tackler. I don’t have a problem moving Edwards if McBeane thinks it’s the right thing to do but unless we are getting Honey Badger or a solid safety backup I don’t see it happening. Dear God they are old, slow as hell, never defended the run well and broken down. Its past time to move on. Just now, Buffalo_Stampede said: He’ll hopefully improve recognition speed and play faster.
