Supposedly S is interchangeable in this D but seems to me Rapp has been playing strong and Hamlin free. You are correct but the extra safety has been mostly playing special teams. Quote
Rockinon Posted November 2 Posted November 2 One of the best abilities is availability. Edwards wasn't available when the roster was being formed. He lost his chance due to injury and Hamlin has played well enough to continue starting. Edwards is now going to have to either wait for his chance or hope for a trade. Wouldn't read much more into it than that. Perhaps Edwards simply didn't have enough time to prove himself on this team to be considered for a starting role. If he thinks he is better than Hamlin and doesn't want to wait, it's his prerogative to request a trade. Doesn't mean he's a cancer. Doesn't mean he is not better than Hamlin. He was simply injured right when the Bills staff we're evaluating how he fit into the defense. That process was incomplete, while Hamlin has had lots of time to be evaluated. Edwards probably did expect to start. Still has to earn it though by being available and preparing like a professional. 1 2 Quote

Neither Edwards or I will get what we want this week it seems If I were your life GM the first challenge would be easy. I would have you save the time and aggravation, find a woman you can't stand, then buy her a house. Edwards broke the cardinal McD rule, don't air team things out on social media. Keep it in the building. So would not be surprised if they moved him. Rapp had to wait for his turn. Not sure what is holding Elam back, but if OBD needs to let Rasul walk next season then he could step in. Edited November 2 by WideNine Quote

I wouldn’t mind spending a week in Nashville, so in a way this is working out nicely for him. 😊 . Edited November 13 by Augie 1 Quote

Rock'em Sock'em Posted November 14 Posted November 14 (edited) I wonder how the salary cap and offsets work for the Bills when the Titans picked him up then cut him a week later. EDIT: Now signed by the Bucs. Edited November 14 by Rock'em Sock'em Quote

If he is cut on waivers last team is responsible for contract. If he is cut and new contract is signed Bills are responsible for difference between contracts. Quote
