Since1981 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Beane obviously made the choice already. Speed vs body manipulation/ size. Beane saw that 17 better benefit for body manipulation/size over speed. No trade. Quote

It seems they finally have one, and I don't see them having regrets about that. Sure, he may have Lee Smith speed, but he seems like he'll be a good one to have when other receivers can't get open. Reminds me of Dez Bryant. Hopefully he stays healthier. It’s been a massive need for years, happy to have Coleman. Speed like Worthy would be great as well, but there seems to be a lot more guys that can run fast vs guys than big guys who can play WR at a high level. So overall, I’ll take the big guy. 1 Quote
Buffalo Ballin Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Nah. Big body capable WR are hard to get. Speed is everywhere. Remember, we have Shakir to take care of speed. We're good. Quote
machine gun kelly Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I like Tee Higgins, but we may need the $ for extending other contracts. It’s a lot cheaper to draft a 1st rd WR or at least a 2nd. Quote

MDH Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Coleman isn’t there yet and may never get there, but Worthy is a gadget guy at best and will never be worthy of a 1st. If given a do over I’d still prefer Leggett but between Coleman and Worthy I’ll take Coleman. 1 Quote
JerseyBills Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Not with this group of WRs, Worthy must be schemed up to be effective, gets bullied at the LOS, isn't good at all in the run game. Coleman 1 v 1 seems to have Allens complete confidence, they should've had that 50 yard beauty called back by that bs penalty and the fade route vs Sauce which was on Allen. Worthy will have a role in this league for a while but I'm very content with Coleman, even if we took him at 28 , I think he'll be what Kelvin Benjamin was supposed to be- an elite big bodied WR , he just has to work on his hands , 2 drops, both difficult catches though but I believe he will work his butt off. You’re absolutely right, his reputation at Fla. St. was he caught everything. He’s dropped some catchable balls but he’s showing flashes, with his length that he can dominate on 50/50 balls and he plays with an edge. I think he turns into a prime target once Josh develops trust. We have an embarrassment of riches with all the receivers that are talented. Quote

Nephilim17 Posted Monday at 04:09 AM Posted Monday at 04:09 AM I'm not saying Worthy is great or will be but I think at this point, YES, I would trade him for Coleman. He turns those short swing passes and screens into consistent 8-yard gains. That's big. His outside speed is just too fast. I hope he doesn't turn into more but he may. Coleman is not consistently offering anything substantial. I suppose that could change next year but I fear KC is out-drafting us with WRs and D lineman. I hope I'm wrong but tonight when it mattered — the 2025 AFCC — Worthy had a greater impact by a considerable margin. 1 Quote
ghostwriter Posted Monday at 04:44 AM Posted Monday at 04:44 AM I wanted to trade up for BTJ. I wanted Worthy if we stayed put. I didn’t want Coleman but I gave him a chance. 1 Quote

I bet the 2025 3rd rounder we used for Cooper would've gotten us close to where we needed to be for BTJ. Would anyone take Coleman and Cooper (given his age and salary) over 5 years of BTJ? Why are fans drinking beer making better picks than pro scouts and a GM? Quote
