In regards to the below thread @Roundybout started relating to Bills WR lack of separation.  I think an easy test of whether that actually matters or not could be decided if at this point in time, if people would rather have Xavier Worthy who is undeniably a better separator than Coleman.   According to next gen stats Worthy's avg separation is 3.6 to Keon's 2.2.   I suspect most people after half a season of play to evaluate would rather keep Coleman over Worthy but let's let the votes speak for themselves.

Worthy has much better separation - but what the tape shows is if the man in front of him puts his hands on him at the line, he's done for.

I'll take the guy that can't separate as well but can out physical his man, is 4 inches taller, and 50 lbs heavier.

I would not, Keon has that dawg in him that we need on this team.  Having an enforcer that can just go take the ball has been missing for years.

That said, I’d love to have a burner for Josh to take shots to, but I don’t necessarily think Worthy is the guy.  Call me nuts, but I don’t see a guy weighing less than the average 18 yr old high school senior, holding up in the NFL.

No, but in the weeks leading up to the draft,  Ladd McConkey was my highest rated WR outside the top 3 and I would've taken him over either Coleman or Worthy.  At the time,  I thought the Bills were so weak at WR that position within that group mattered significantly less than just finding someone who could play,  with the lack of speed and separation being another important factor.

As it stands,  I don't necessarily feel bad about that at all.  McConkey is having an excellent rookie year.  Would I make an even trade of Coleman for McConkey today?  Probably not,  as Coleman has been playing well in his own right.

McConkey is never going to be much better than he is right now IMO and he'll likely be relegated to the slot. High floor low ceiling type of player. I think you can find that skill set in the 3rd round or later. Big physical WRs with elite body control don't make it out of the top 40. I am all about drafting for the future, not for year one. And as we're seeing with Coleman sometimes that future comes faster than you think for the physically gifted players.

Geez Louise!
Head Banging on Counter!

The Bills, because they play in an open air stadium which highlights the elements of wind, rain, sleet & snow in the back half of the Season never need an SEC Smurf WR!

They need EXACTLY what they got in Coleman!

A huge dude with an added 38 inch vertical who plays above the heads of his defenders and catches contested balls because of it!

A huge powerful QB who can throw it up high!

A match made in Lombardi heaven.

OBD has needed this for a generation!

FINALLY! ✔️👏🎉🏈👍

Coleman is ranked at the top on yards after catch.  No thanks on the confusing supposition.  Coleman had his first 100+ game 2 games ago, and 73 yrs and a TD against Seattle.

we don’t need to do anything now that we have Cooper, Coleman, Shakir, and Kinkaid.

Nah.  and to be honest, Keon would probably work really well with Mahomes and Reid in their offense.  KC may wish to go back in time when both careers are sized up someday.

You just cited one of my favorite movies so thanks New Era.  I know it’s silly, but the silly side of me loves Mr. Powers and crew.

No straight up…I would have to be drunk.

That would be a lot of high end Voka and Red Bull.  Those days are long gone for me.

I don't even think I'd take Worthy straight up even though that type of WR is the one the Bills currently need (the fast, take the top off). I just think he'll end up with injuries and he isn't strong enough to be man coverage. You'd need to almost use him like the Dolphins used Tyreek last year to create separation and the league is cracking down on the running starts before the snap. I hope the Bills spend the #1 pick next year on a fast WR and that three combo of that player- Coleman and Shakir is going to be a problem for teams. (Bills also need D-Line and Safety help despite spending a ton of draft capital on the D-Line)

I see 5 of Worthy's family members are also members of this board 😂 😂

Why would they want him to be traded to Bills when he can stay on a team guaranteed by NFL to win a Superbowl?
