Big Turk
He hasn't been great but Vikings lost thei LT for the season a game or two ago I think, Darrishaw, so it makes sense. 5 hours ago, Bill from NYC said: I very rarely get to watch the Giants but I saw some of his highlights. Serious question, is he the best, or one of the best DTs in the NFL, or was the great play from him that I saw on the highlights just an outlier? He looked like freaking Leon Lett on some of the plays I saw. Lawrence has turned into an absolute terror in the middle of the line...he is leading the NFL with 9 sacks as a DT which is almost unheard of for anyone not named Aaron Donald
Bleeding Bills Blue
Just now, FireChans said: So here's the thing. The Vikings got Robinson. When he walks next year in FA, he will count to the comp pick formula. It's not perfect but they will likely accrue some value back. Valuable depth is an oxymoron. We saw our "valuable" depth at LB last year. We have seen it this year. Do you think a Deion Jones-type can't give us Baylon Spector level production? These end of the roster guys are just that. They aren't valuable. If they were valuable, they would be seeing the field and playing well. Here's a list of late rounders drafted by the Bills since 2020, bolded are off the team/out of the league/not playing this season: Fromm Bass Hodgins Jackson Doyle Stevenson Hamlin Wildgoose Anderson Shakir Araiza Benford Tenuta Spector Shorter Broeker Austin SVPG Ulofoshio Solomon Grable Hardy Clayton I get it. Shakir and Benford have been excellent. They are the equivalent of striking gold. You don't want zero late round picks. But they are total crapshoots. If Dawkins went down, I would have done the Cam Robinson deal or something similar in two seconds. The value of these picks is completely overstated in the NFL, and that means the seller of those picks is going to make the profit. I don't totally disagree. They look to be relatively stacked in draft picks going into 2025. 1,2,2,4,4,6,6,6 + 2 comp picks projected at 4 and 5. They certainly have the capital to move any of those 6's, or even one of the 4's. I just think it has to be a clear upgrade somewhere - be it at 1T, LB, or safety.
