turbo044 Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Flight from NYC to Buffalo is like 50 minutes. wondering if Josh need a body guard type when he's out in public? I guess if he's out with some lineman, that works. Quote

All offseason he does whatever he wants. The season is so short, he should make use of every minute possible during it to prepare for the upcoming week. This is what the NFL has become. These players are just Hollywood actors and the product is horrible. Look at how many terrible teams there are. Players just dont live and breathe the actually game anymore. It's all one big show for the payday. An NFL season is anything but short. Quote

In the 1970s they would come in fat and out of shape and use training camp to get in shape. Oh and do you ever go out during the work week with your job? I went to the symphony on a Tuesday when I worked all week. Does that make me a bad doctor? 2 3 1 Quote

I think that the product has slipped because many owners don't care about winning. I would argue that half of the league doesn't care about winning. They care about the loot, which is cool if you've got the gig as a NFL owner. Look at how many people show up to these games, even for the most moribund franchises (the Bills, as we all know, were like this a lot during the drought). Or the owners are old, detached, horrible micro managers, don't understand what good hiring looks like, or some combination of the above. The fact that it took, how long, for Dan Snyder to get evicted from the league tells you all that you need to know. 1 Quote

Well what I would say to you then is if Josh Allen is an actor he's won an Oscar when it comes to beating the absolute will out of the Miami Dolphins. His numbers and psychological dominion over that team humble all of the old heads that you think are real "football players." Quote
Beck Water Posted October 30 Posted October 30 3 hours ago, ytownblofan said: He literally says in the Yankees video "we fly out tonight". The flight time from NYC to Buffalo is ~1.5 hours. The game ended at around 11:30pm, assuming he stayed the entire time, he was likely home and in bed by 2:30am. If one of the guys said in a presser today that "Yeah, Josh and a few of the guys were up til almost 3am playing Call Of Duty last night" half the board would be saying "this team is so tight, the league better watch out". Let the man enjoy his life and hard-earned cash without assuming it means doom and gloom for the game this weekend. That's commercial. My guess is that he flew private jet from B'lo to (probably) Teterboro. 20 minutes drive from the stadium to Teterboro. No hassles with security - just walk through onto the plane, which was likely alerted when he left the stadium and did their preflight so they were ready to go once he got on board. Have a nice nap in a huge reclining seat for the 1 hr flight. 20 minutes drive home. Probably home more like 1:30 am at the latest. Quote

All those guys went to watch him win the super bowl. He spent his nights hanging with henry hill and his girlfriend! Imagine the world we live in today, if a star QB had been caught as owning/running a bar for the MOB and also knowingly hanging out with a crew of lifelong criminals who were pseudo members and some were actual members of the extremely violent Lucchese crime family under captain Paul Vario. Imagine how this would be covered on ESPN. Well, here is marcus spears to give his take on Joe Namath and the Lucchese Crime Family. Lol. 2 Quote
muppy Posted October 30 Posted October 30 (edited) Josh Allen is not the personal property of the NFL. Folks that are going to criticize him being a young guy in the prime of his life from living his Best life? Come on now what is up with fun police attitude. I'm not buying it. I mean I can understand if you don't enjoy or participate in Halloween festivities. His GF has style class and herself a highly accomplished and talented beautiful woman. HOW DARE THEY have a theme party on Halloween. WHAT? I'm as big a bills fan as anybody. He going to a Yankees world series game would make a lot of people jealous. Maybe that's the root of it Edited October 30 by muppy 3 1 Quote

What exactly does he still need to prove to you? You act like Josh has some weird Jay Cutler stigma of not showing up for games because of his lack of focus and extracurricular activities. Joe Burrow literally does runway shows before games for Anna Wintour and other fashionistas and nobody here questions his commitment. Cause we're not Bengals fans. Quote
