Yup and those 5 TD passes the prior game didn't happen...what does Lamar have to do?

Are you like his cousin or something? Are you surprised that Bills fans wouldn’t heap praise on one of their main conference rivals?

Bottom line is he didn’t play that great vs a very good defense. Allen gets his beatings from the media for his poor performances, not sure why Lamar isn’t also fair game.

Nice move for the Ravens got him dirt cheap too. Someone that could add some pop to an offense that needs better WR play. Lots of contending teams (and the Jets for some reason) making big WR moves. Texans with the Diggs injury also going to be in the market for a WR.

Man, we got ripped off in the Cooper trade.  How is Johnson essentially just a pick swap of nothing?

That could be a move of 1 pick if Balt wins and panthers get 1st oa. I guess comp picks could get in the way but wow

Part of the trade value for Cooper was his contract.

Yea it's really hard to believe that's the best they could get. A lot of WR needy teams out there.

I mean, the Panthers gave the Steelers a CB coming off an Achilles injury and a 6th Round Pick for him. He was essentially given away to the Panthers to begin with bc he fell off with the Steelers. Then he underperformed with the Panthers.

The fact that there is so many WR needy teams and that's all they traded for him says to me that is what his perceived worth is around the league. Which is not much at all. Especially when you consider on top of that, as opposed to paying 800k like we did for Cooper, the Ravens have to pay 4 million for Johnson.

Normally I would agree with you but their WR group suffered from some ugly drops this past weekend that probably cost them the game

Adding sure handed Johnson should help 😵😵😵🙈🙈🙈

From ProFootballTalk:

"Despite Rashod Bateman suffering a knee injury during Sunday’s loss to the Eagles, Ravens receiver Diontae Johnson did not play a single snap in the contest.

Baltimore acquired Johnson from Carolina on Oct. 29. But Johnson has caught just one 6-yard pass in four appearances. He was active against the Eagles but ended up as one of two DNPs along with backup quarterback Josh Johnson.

Head coach John Harbaugh was ominous in his response about the receiver postgame and struck a similar tone in his Monday press conference.

“At this time, I’m going to have to wait,” Harbaugh said, via Jeff Zrebiec of TheAthletic.com. “There are some moving parts there that we’re going to have to figure out and explore and see where we’re at. It’s the best I can do in fairness to everybody.”

When asked if Johnson is going to stay on the team, Harbaugh stood by his original comment and noted the club will work it out over the next few days while on the bye week."

What is it with these Pittsburgh Steeler receivers?

it seems only tomlin can control them, and when they leave, they implode. Santonio Holmes, AB, Dionte Johnson. There are others.

I think the only guy that left and didn’t become a total head case was Emmanuel sanders.

I suspect there is a ton of built up frustration with the Steelers and now Ravens on his part.

He was trending toward being a perennial 1,000 yard receiver until the Steelers botched their QB situation.    Then he gets dealt to a team with a struggling young QB in his walk year, is carving out a decent season under the circumstance and gets dealt to Baltimore and shelved for a month.    The Steelers and Ravens have probably cost him quite a bit of money in this free agency.   Not saying it justifies not being a good teammate but it's pretty easy to see why he'd be frustrated.

Any sort of frustration from him is because of his entitlement.   He wasn't trending to becoming a perennial 1000 yard wideout.  He had 1, count em 1, 1000 yard season.   And even that season he was barely over 1000 yards.

He isn't a special player.  He is an above average player who got paid a good chunk of change to have spotty hands for a possession wideout.  Yes, he is fast but he averages a little over 11 yards a reception for his career.  Any sort of career success he has is strictly because of number of targets.

When these guys fail to understand that their targets are not more important than the overall health of the team they find themselves in places like Carolina really quickly.    Good teams don't put up with bs.

Watch for Pickens this off-season. Prior to this year, there is a good chance Steelers may trade him. Now it's the opposite problem - what he thinks that he deserves to have an extension being paid as a top WR now and the Steelers might want to see another high production, problem free season.

That happens with some WR when they put up 900+ then 1100+ and then the QB situation goes to hell.    I am sure he figured he was going to get a big pay day soon after and the  Steelers and now Ravens have undermined that in his opinion.   You can be mad about it in one hand and sh!t in another and see which one fills up quicker.   Players come with baggage.
