Maybe he will take 1-2 sacks against us, but he has great pocket presence and he is going to be chucking it. And they have three really great receivers, not to mention JT. Flacco also has 9 INTs his last 7 starts. He’s gonna be chucking it to the other team too 1 1 Quote
US Egg Posted October 29 Posted October 29 It was a 3rd and goal, if Richardson calls a timeout no one is the wiser. 1 Quote

I don't think his comments made an impact per se, but what he was saying is probably true. I saw other former players saying the same thing. "How could Richardson go into the huddle with his offensive lineman who play every snap and demand 100% effort in the 4th quarter". If Flacco does give them a boost, at least they got flexed into SNF this week so we have a minor rest advantage. Edited October 29 by bills742 1 Quote

Amazing skill set, serious character questions I'm not saying that's not the case; cuz it might turn out to be. But it's possible that he might just be dumb enough to think he was doing his team a favor by taking a play off. 1 Quote
zow2 Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Seismic cracks me up. It's only seismic if the Colts have moved off Richardson permanently and will never play him again. That would be big. 1 Quote

That may be an even bigger red flag, dumb isn’t a word you want associated with your QB, the fact nobody can ever recall a QB taking himself out of a game ever makes it a big deal. Too many flags for me on the dude, I’m out on him. 2 Quote
The Jokeman Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Maybe Richardson has a Josh Allen moment if Flacco could prove to be a Derek Anderson. Yet have a feeling he won't as as bad as Josh was his first two seasons, he did show a little bit more than Richardson has. 1 Quote

Yeah, I'm not saying it might make the difference in him being able to play in this league. Just that maybe he's not a bad kid but isn't blessed with a lot going on upstairs. He'd still be screwed as far as being a QB, but maybe he doesn't deserve to be reviled as a low character jackass. 2 Quote
notpolian Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Richardson is the ultimate "toolsy" guy with great athletic traits and almost zero results to show for it. He played one year at Florida and sprayed the ball all over the place. Hasn't changed in the pros. He made Allen look polished in college and Allen's development is a big part of the reason teams are taking risks on players like him and Levis, etc. They really needed to use Richardson more in the running game and with RPOs. But he seems a little injury prone. Flacco is immobile but he can read a defense and make the throws. The Indy game just got much more difficult. 1 1 4 Quote
somnus00 Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Teams will always fall in love with the athletic freak QB with a rocket for an arm. That will never change. But the successful ones have to have the other intangibles like brains, heart, and leadership. The Mafia is lucky that our QB1 is a unicorn that has it all. 1 2 Quote
Big Turk Posted October 29 Posted October 29 They are going to be coming for Flacco...he is completely immobile back there. Quote

Alphadawg7 Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Richardson can't hit the broadside of a barn, so no surprise. Makes this matchup more legit for us though. Still expect a win, but with Richardson it was likely a blow out as our D would have chewed him up. Flacco can at least get the ball out and get it to his guys, so makes the Colts a bit more dangerous as they still have some good weapons there. So I am going from expecting a 3+ score blow out to just your normal multiple score win of 10+ points. 1 Quote
Lost Posted October 29 Posted October 29 I wish Flacco was our backup. Browns were dumb as hell for not keeping him around. 7 Quote

I also think some of his down games have been when he hasn’t had a running game. I think JT was out for a few of his starts this year. I just think the narrative of him being an old statue who will get sacked and turn the ball over is not accurate. He brings a ton more juice to that offense. Now you suddenly have to worry about Pittman, Downs, and Mitchell, in addition to the usual worry about JT in the run game. 3 Quote

Well yeah lol But the response to my post was “NFL coaches don’t give a **** what a former punter says” I just wondered if it played a part for conversations to be had as again, he’s friends with Irsay and maintains a relationship with him. The team owner is also an open fan of the podcast/show. Quote
TFBillsfan Posted October 29 Posted October 29 These next two games, our DL needs to step up, generate pressure and GET sacks! Our front four has struggled to sack the QB and when we blitz, I don’t recall us getting home. Hamlin is a weak blitzer which doesn’t help. Make Tua and Flacco very uncomfortable and move them off their spot. Quote
