Take a deep breath.  Close your eyes and think of his end in Baltimore and time in NYJ.  Pressure up the middle.  Double a gap blitz.  Drop out to the hot route. Safeties deep.  Less mobile than Rodgers.

Flacco though isn’t out there getting fooled. If he is throwing picks, it’s because he is aggressively moving the ball downfield. I also think some of his down games have been when he hasn’t had a running game. I think JT was out for a few of his starts this year.

I just think the narrative of him being an old statue who will get sacked and turn the ball over is not accurate. He brings a ton more juice to that offense. Now you suddenly have to worry about Pittman, Downs, and Mitchell, in addition to the usual worry about JT in the run game.

Pittman, Downs, and Mitchell will be hyped up about having chance to make plays.

Maybe Richardson has a Josh Allen moment if Flacco could prove to be a Derek Anderson. Yet have a feeling he won't as as bad as Josh was his first two seasons, he did show a little bit more than Richardson has.

Josh Allen was never benched as he had that arm elbow strain injury in the middle of the season..  He also gave us the best chance to win in 2018 as we got demolished in the first three games he missed and then there was that fluky Barkley game against the Jets.

I've never heard a QB take himself out of a game for a breather before and thought it wasn't a big deal.  Just odd.  Then Ryan Kelly's (offensive caption at center) comments after the game saying he didn't play up to the standard they expect made me question what everyone in the locker room thinks of this guy.  There's no logical reason to start Flacco over Richardson so I'm guessing there's some internal stuff going on that led to his benching.

The Bills actually do pretty well defensively against pocket passers.  Flacco has no mobility.  It will be a collapse the pocket approach.

Flacco is exactly the type of QB Von thrives against.

Good news for Flacco is he is type of QB Von respects and will take him down softly when he can.

I think this makes our game there next week a tricky one. Bills should still win but it was a slam dunk with Richardson.

Agree. Indy is getting most of their key players back. They have weapons offensively and we can’t just let Flacco drop back without any pressure. Assuming they will lean on Taylor in the run game and utilize quick intermediate passes and screens to protect Flacco.  Get up on them early and force Flacco to throw!

I wish Flacco was our backup.  Browns were dumb as hell for not keeping him around.

Their FO was not dumb as hell if you believe Haslam mandated Watson start no matter what.  Same reason why Winston didn't come in after Watson got hurt.

There's a good chance if Winston has a good season they get rid of him since I hear Watson will be ready by the beginning of next season.

My understanding is that it was for one play when he was really gassed after a bunch of running around.

He probably shouldn't have done it, but it's going to get waaaaaayyyyyyy more attention than it deserves.

First round pick, 4th overall.

Teammates are talking about it publicly.  Not a good look for the young guy, coach had to bench him.

And yet, he is their #2 QB.

The Bills will eat him alive.

"The benching also comes after Richardson admitted to subbing out of the game on Sunday because he was "tired." The honest answer has spawned questions about the QB's dedication. Teammate Ryan Kelly even noted it wasn't "the standard" Richardson needs to play up to. While the offensive production issues are a more significant concern, the tapping out could have played a role in the decision."

I would just eat the cap space and punk kick him off my roster. Tired? Are you ******* kidding me?

0% chance Bills would lose to Richardson, McDermott would have shut him down. Not concerned either way, but this is relevant with us playing them next week.

How did it work out for the Titans and Mason Rudolph?
