They are adequate players.  However, given the level of where this team was and is...yeah, you just needed to strengthen at the position.

They are both backups IMO. I thought that when we overdrafted both of them. The idea being two backups =  starter. It doesn't.

After Dabol & Shane having Josh as their QB then those 2 coming to the conclusion to sign Jones to the type of deal that they did should have told the owners something moving forward just from that alone . Then letting Barkley walk out the door which was most of their offense . OMG it's a wonder either of them are still in the building .

Dabol got a bit full of himself as a QB mentoring guru with Josh and and has no wizardry with Jones. The Giants would be a decent team with Flacco or Winston or even a guy as washed as Andy Dalton. Too bad for them that the Commanders got Daniels.

when we were going wide open and threatening every blade of grass and josh was running wild, singletary had a great YPC stat line because he ran into light boxes where guys were back pedaling and being terrified of a josh run or pass.  in the playoffs or big games singletary was quite simply a zero factor.  not fast, not physical, was not good in passing, he scared no one.

the 2021 afc chip game at KC was likely a game we could never win, but i remember TE and RB being nothing burgers all day.  our banged up wrs got mugged, and i remember devon dropping an easy catch that would have been a big gainer when we needed it most.  i think as it sits now, our WR corps is still below a healthy beaz, brown, diggs and who ever else we plugged in (had that fast vet at one point, young gabe davis at another) and that might change as they gel, but holy cow the talent difference in our OL and our RB and TE group is a shocking improvement.

also -- w steelers, baltimore, kc, and houston all with solid shots at really good records, and us so close to clinching the division super early, it feels like we are destined to not have a shot at the 1 seed, so no bye week, and one home game and then on the road in the playoffs.  being able to block people up and run and run play action is gonna be super necessary in that situation, so the TE/OL/RB game will be what gives us a chance at road wins IMO.

Steelers are a long shot for the division, but they need to use this gap to keep pace above the Bengals.  If they can go 4-5 down the stretch, they could look at 10-7 and a wild card.  Bengals would need to go 7-2, which is a longshot for them at this point...

Steelers literally have zero easy games left.  They could finish with anywhere from 8-12 wins.  The Bills have a huge advantage being in the AFCE…and everyone said we had a brutal schedule😀

Agree that best case scenario for them is probably 12 wins, and would need at least one of those wins to be against Ravens to be taking the division.

That division is a bloodbath...as we saw this weekend, even the worst team is fully capable of beating the best.

The Bills really lucked out this year, getting to play six games against crappy AFCE teams, drawing the AFC South, and getting four games against the NFCW, which is nowhere near as strong as many thought it would be, although the Rams and Niners will probably be healthier when we play them.
