If you want to see some total BS....

PFF has Patrick Mahomes, 8 TD's/9 INT's above Josh Allen.  Because it's clear, Mahomes is playing better than Allen this year.

Here are the other QB's rated higher than Allen this season: Geno Smith, Derek Carr, Lamar Jackson*, Aaron Rodgers (yes, you read that right), Brock Purdy, Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence, Baker Mayfield and Jayden Daniels.  I have an asterisk by Lamar because I think he's the only one that can be argued he's having a better year than Allen.

I just want to repeat this again for everyone to see, PFF has graded AARON RODGERS higher than Josh Allen this year.

Don't believe in a lot of this subjective nonsense to begin with, but for those who missed it (according to PFF):

Josh Allen graded out with a 64.1 after the Seattle game (guessing it was the fumble and INT??)

Gino Smith graded out at 72.7

Your eyes lied to you..Allen was actually outplayed by Smith on Sunday..and by a considerable margin

Pff, apparently likes looking like a group of fools, and ya know, they’re good at it…,

I think there is a big difference between pff analytics (the data they capture) and their "analyst" that draw conclusions and write articles and do podcasts. I am pretty sure they try to tweak the noses of Bills mafia with dumb takes to generate some buzz.

Geno took sacks stumbled because he had his feet too close to his center's so he got stepped on, and threw a pick to a DL player.

Other than that he was meh, but on target with most of his throws. He did not play a horrible game, but he also did not do enough to get them a win.

Josh had his receiver slip out of his break so he threw the ball where he wasn't.

The fumble, he just lost the handle on the wet ball in a downpour.

Was not the best Allen game, but he was efficient, made key plays when we needed them, and he dug them out of a lot of long down and distance situations with the pre-snap penalties.

And he got our team the win. Those pff clowns can hand out their awards for style points for whatever that's worth.

Oddly enough, Allen’s QBR for that game was 48.7, which is really bad.

Which is BS. It was one of the best games he has played in a while to anyone with eyes.

PFF says that Allen has 12 turnover worthy plays on the year.

I think it should be about half that number.

There was one easy INT dropped by the Texans, but that's about it. If we want to count each fumble as a turnover worthy play that gets us to 6.

The INT he did throw shouldn't count b/c Cooper slipped

Josh is so bad, the league should award Buffalo a first round compensatory pick just to make it fair with the Bills having to carry the burden of having Allen on the roster.

Turnover worthy, what a joke of a stat. I was a star MLB player worthy because I played little league and CYO good

I never trusted PFF grades for a host of reasons.

But didn't thinking their rating system was this bad.

PFF is definitely not perfect and Josh was absolutely better than Geno last weekend. So that's a miss for PFF. Still, if I'm comparing two offensive linemen or linebackers I've never heard of before, PFF is my only option other than finding and watching film beyond YT highlights myself. And I find PFF usually is pretty correlated with players I think had especially bad or good games.

PFF is just not reliable. Football is too complex of a sport to be measured purely by numbers. There are so many factors and moving parts that I could spend hours explaining. I am old school and go by the eye test which rarely fails me. I knew going into his first few games that Allen was going to be special. I can’t really explain why. His #s were pretty crappy. Contrast that to EJ Manuel who just looked unnatural.

Their ratings are a joke.  I remember last season Tyrel Dodson was consistently ranked in the top 5 LB ratings where Terrel Bernard was somewhere toward the bottom.  It made no sense

It may have influenced Seattle to sign Dotson.

People need an example of Josh Allen to get butt hurt enough to ignore PFF?   I mean there have been thousands of similar or worse examples.   Also, I view PFF as one metric in and of itself is not super telling.  Kind of like completion percentage.  One qb can have a better completion percentage but that does not make him better than someone with a lower number.   Now PFF is supposed to be a one number thing but it has been shown to not be that forever.  And the numbers tend to get better with more samples.

Yah i've heard the experts say "Josh Allen is way over rated" and they know what they are talking about because they are the experts after all RIGHT ??

What we have to do is create a cage match between Collinsworth and Brady. Brady was all over Josh’s knob like he wanted to marry him. Collinsworth’s BSf says that Josh sucked.

Gentlemen, let’s get ready tooo RUUUMMMBBBBLLLLEEEE!

We did get out to a pretty big lead, which cuts down on the number of "clutch" rated plays.

I do wonder if the two 90+ yard drives contributed to it as those were both get-er-done team efforts.

They also dinged him for his fumble [even tho we recovered] and the int.

This is what happens when those in charge of the data don’t understand data.

They’re slaves to KPIs they don’t understand. Where is the adjustment?

step 1 someone puts together some new metric but likely writes limitations onnthr metric.

Step 2 someone else sees it and ignores the limitations then uses it blindly.

this is what happened in the housing bubble crash of 2008.
