We should trade up with Carolina and get Sanders. This PFF rating is unacceptable! 😁 I wonder if we could maybe get a third rounder for Josh? Or is that unrealistic? Probably no team would want him. Maybe as a backup. Screw them all.
MJS
26 minutes ago, hondo in seattle said: Passer rating is better, IMHO, than QBR or PFF grades. But it also has flaws because it measures efficiency rather than production, For example, if a QB goes 10 for 15 for 150 yards in a game, he'll be rated exactly the same as a QB who goes 20 of 30 for 300 yards. I would argue the second QB deserves a higher rating because: (1) he contributed twice as many yards to the team's offense. (2) because he threw twice as much, the defense probably probably played more pass D. But both QB completed 67% of their passes for 10 yards per attempt - statistically equivalent if you ignore actual production. 9 times out of 10, though, the more efficient QB is the one who produces more yards and TDs and contributes more to wins. Football games almost always push the QB to produce, so their efficiency numbers are going to be a good gauge most of the time. Is it perfect? No. That's why to truly understand how a QB played, you have to take a variety of metrics into account, and probably watch them with your own eyes as well. Real McClappy
PFF convinced me we should trade Allen and a 1st to the Saints for Carr.

PFF drinks their own kool-aid and QBR is fundamentally flawed. Week 8 passer ratings: Josh Allen: 102.9 Geno Smith: 78.5 Im thinking QBR must have taken into account the 2 fumbles, even though neither resulted in turnovers and one ended in a new first down lol

Yes, it's absurd. It's like each Allen turnover is equal to 4 for every other QB.

DapperCam
I bet they dinged him for his INT, even though the throw was exactly where it was supposed to be and Cooper slipped out of his break.

Gino Smith graded out at 72.7 Your eyes lied to you..Allen was actually outplayed by Smith on Sunday..and by a considerable margin Geno had an INT too. And didn't he have a messed up pitch/handoff that Walker ran down and turned into a 5-yard gain, his longest of the day? And Seahawks got 0 points off Allen's pick while Bills turned Geno's pick into 7. Baffling.

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower
As i said earlier, the grades have to add up to some basis of the whole, otherwise they're meaningless. Save your money.
