Rousseau is also at 3.5, but he’s been one of the best players this year and leads the league in pressures. Give me disruption over sack total You want a Jerry Hughes... Saw the final three drives of the MNF game between the Steelers adn Giants.....and T J Watt was a wrecking ball single handedly taking over that game.... Quote

Kind of unfair to compare them, no? Quote

If they lose on Sunday @Cleveland, might the new regime be open to make a deal for the future? AJ Epenesa, Javon Solomon, 2025 Diggs Pick (~#60), and a 2026 1st round for 2nd round pick swap? Is that way too much? Way too little? Not even in the zip code of acceptable for either side? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/14414/khalil-mack Why would you give up that much? this guy is 33 and your including a first rounder. Strong pass outside getting him for 4th rounder Quote

Then if you think what the picks you would give the team your trading with & who Beane might be able to get with them from who he has been able to bring in to this point . Given all of that & I'm pretty sure Mack isn't worth all mentioned & couldn't get the return on those things given up to get him, which i'm sure they wouldn't then it's not just No but HELL TO THE NO !!! 1 Quote

The prior years he was a single digit sack guy for years. We already have Von coming back who had 3 sacks in 4 games. Our D Line is one of our strengths. Cooper was the big in season trade. No one is going to trade away their kicker so we use one of our last of 10 picks on one in the draft as a back up plan. He averaged 8 sacks a year in that “dry” spell and was second team all pro in one of them. 8-9 sacks per year is quite good. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MackKh00.htm 1 Quote

The Jokeman Posted October 29 Posted October 29 16 hours ago, RobbRiddicksTDLeap said: Why not just play AJ Epenesa more? The dude makes plays every week, and somehow isn’t starting over Smoot. AJe issue is he isn't a great run defender which can be dangerous on 1st and 2nd downs hence going with Smoot than. I have no problem using him on downs and distances that would dictate be a passing down. Maybe even have Von play outside him as LB on a few downs and rush them both at the same time would generate more pass rush. Honestly the team is in a good spot right now and think is only going to improve as get Von back and hopefully Bernard and eventually Milano. Also incorporating Cooper more on offense etc. Call me a homer but still think in any given week we can beat most teams. Sure we got handed by Baltimore but wouldn't mind playing them again in the playoffs as seems Lamar is at his worst then. 1 1 Quote

I don't watch the Chargers very often, how did he get 17 sacks last year? Genuine question. That's more than anyone we've had in a long time Despite Mack's 17 sacks last season, he didn't seem to have a significant impact on the Chargers defense. The Chargers won only 5 games last season. Their defense ranked 31st in passing yards allowed and 29th in YPA allowed. IOW, he put up big meaningless stats. Pass. Edited October 29 by SoTier 3 Quote

Robert Paulson Posted October 29 Posted October 29 the only thing i will say is that i thought we were drafting him. then we used the pick for Sammy Watkins. i am still pissed to this day. it was such a no brainer and we effed it up. 1 2 Quote

BUFFALOTONE Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I get sick thinking we are going to acquire stud DE's primarily to stop Mahomes when all of their tackles hold like it's a Highschool slow dance. Id rather get another Stud playmaker or safety perhaps. 1 1 Quote

They hold against a LB coming off the corner is a hell of a lot more obvious and tougher to do as you don't know where the attack is coming from. Quote
