Chargers at 4-3, weak schedule and a weak AFC wildcard field. Harbaugh is absolutely thinking "get in year 1 buys me some time while I carry on rebuilding this roster." 1
QLBillsFan
Just no.. Von coming back. Solomon developing into the rotation. Just not worth parting with picks at this point. Also why would Mack be traded.

Probably because they haven't figured out yet that John got all the brains and Jim got nothing but the mouth. 1

Don Otreply
No freaking way, he is going on 34 years old, well past his best performing years, and why in gods name would you trade your quality up and coming young players for this individual, I hate threads like this, no real thought put into them, it should have been titled “ I have an idea to set our team back three years, thoughts?” GO BILLS!!! 3

If they lose on Sunday @Cleveland, might the new regime be open to make a deal for the future? AJ Epenesa, Javon Solomon, 2025 Diggs Pick (~#60), and a 2026 1st round for 2nd round pick swap? Is that way too much? Way too little? Not even in the zip code of acceptable for either side? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/14414/khalil-mack Add Josh plus another 3 firsts and you’re close.

Was interesting to me that both coordinators mixed up tendencies early yesterday. I think it is mainly an inexperience at coordinator issue. Hopefully yesterday was a meaningful step forward. 54 minutes ago, GunnerBill said: This season - yes. Before that - not at all. And you are arguing a untruth to say otherwise. This isn't an opinion. It's a fact. 44 minutes ago, WhiskyBreath said: There are a couple of games this season where the Bills simply were not ready to play in the first half - what I call sleepwalking. This past Sunday they fixed that issue; however, the question is, will this good performance carry forward when we play top-teams like the Chiefs? Billl
It’s actually kind of wild how few dominant pass rushers there are on contending teams. In the AFC, it’s basically Watt and Jones. In the NFC, it’s pretty much just Bosa with Hutchinson being out. All of the others like Crosby, Garrett, Parsons, Lawrence, Hendrickson, etc. are on bad teams. Everyone in Kansas City is worried that our LTs aren’t good enough to hold up against a dominant DE in the postseason, but it’s entirely possible to go to the Super Bowl and not face one. I’m not sure the Steelers make it out of the Wild Card round, the 49ers don’t look like a Super Bowl team, and who knows if Aiden will be any good if he were to even play.

He is a Mack fan, and I think the Chargers will probably squeak in. He is not going anywhere. 2 hours ago, K-9 said: I wouldn’t offer them anything at this point. 1.5 sacks in seven games this season indicates a big decline. Heck, Von had three in the four games he’s played so far and he’s returning. I don’t think we need him. 3.5 through 7 games, actually, and he is on pace for 8.5. Plus sacks are spiky and he could have a 3-sack game at any point. He is still good!
Mr. WEO
for Mack, 3 teams have given up a total of 3 1sts, a 2nd, a 3rd and a few day 3 picks. yet none of the teams seemed to get any better with him. Raiders got better without him by picking Josh Jacobs. Chargers Defense didn't get better when he showed up in 2022. Great individual player. Not much of an impact player. No reason to believe he would have a significant impact on Bills overall Defense (ranked 1-6 past 4 seasons in points allowed).

My thought was no one is collapsing their interior, at least not someone we could add, might as well try to take advantage of the relatively weaker edge It will never happen but Dexter Lawrence from our friends at the Giants, a team going nowhere fast, for a 1st and then doing some creative cap work would do the job.
bills6969
I trade our 2014 1st round pick for him bc that’s what we should’ve used to draft him to begin with. Thanks Whaley!

Mat68
This is equivalent to getting Von Miller back. Fresh legs will be a nice boost to the pass rush. I don’t want Buffalo to add another aging vet. Find a 20 something with a year or 2 remaining on a deal. Not an easy deal to find but a rebuilding team pay be open. I think he's looking to set a tone with his culture by making the playoffs year one. The Chargers are taking 55 million in dead cap this season which is 7th highest in the league so they will have a chance to really rebuild quickly after this season.
