Is that way too much? Way too little? Not even in the zip code of acceptable for either side? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/14414/khalil-mack No offense, I laughed reacted to your post because that is wildly a lot to give up for a 33 year old player. I think we learned our lesson with Von already. Day 3 pick, sure lets talk. But all of that above is unrealistic, especially since Beane already traded his 3rd rounder. 1

BillsFanForever19
Even if we don't take his contract into the equation - the Chargers are 4-3. They're in 7th place in the AFC. Firmly in the Wild Card race right now, in a generally weak AFC (when you consider our division). Why would they make themselves weaker and make it harder for them to get a Wild Card spot? The Chargers aren't sellers. Also, we are getting some End help this week. Von Miller has spent his 4 week suspension and will be returning to the team. And if he returns to the form he was playing at, that wil be big help. Edited Monday at 10:04 PM by BillsFanForever19

Big Turk
I'd prefer Mad Maxx Crosby but his cap hit is too high...still in his prime at 27 and under contract for 2 more years at not crazy numbers. We’re also throwing in our 1st rounder. Does this make you feel any differently?
RobbRiddicksTDLeap
Why not just play AJ Epenesa more? The dude makes plays every week, and somehow isn’t starting over Smoot.

All_Pro_Bills
If I'm looking to beat the Chiefs I'm more interested in picking up a pocket clapsing, disruptor of a DT. Because the strength of KC's O Line is the center and 2 guard interior. Not the OTs. Who that guy might be, or if anyone like that is available i don't know. But I think we need that more than another edge type guy. Edited Monday at 09:04 PM by All_Pro_Bills

My thought was no one is collapsing their interior, at least not someone we could add, might as well try to take advantage of the relatively weaker edge

The pick "it would take" is a pick only a bad GM would throw at a diminished player who, IMO (and I get this is a controversial view) was one of the most overrated players of the past decade to start with.

Beast
We are more than fine at DE. You could convince me to upgrade DT or Safety….but no to DE.

You are correct. An extremely unpopular take. Borderline heretical. Mack past Chicago - overrated. Mack Chicago/Raiders - arguably the best EDGE player in the league. And giving that up for a 9 game rental of a 33 year old who isn't a game wrecker IMO when this team is still in the process of reloading and isn't one piece away I think would be foolish in the extreme. 1

It’s not going to cost anything because he’s not going to be for sale. The Chargers are 4-3 with games against the Browns, Titans, and Bengals the next three weeks. That’s not a team looking to have a fire sale. 2
