The 2024 season is halfway over

And the Buffalo Bills sit in first place of the AFC East with a 3.5 game lead.

The Miami Dolphins are 2-5, led by a small, concussion-prone QB that they just handed a $200+ million contract to three months ago. They also gave 30 year old Jalen Ramsay, who has struggled at times this season, a $72 million dollar contract extension, just one month ago. They also extended their head coach, who many Dolphins want fired, just 2 months ago. These moves cost money, and is undoubtedly part of the reason that they had to let good (and sometimes dirty) players such as Van Ginkel and Christian Wilkins leave. As a result, their defense has given up more points in 7 games than the Bills have given up in 8.

The Jets are 2-6 after being media darlings all off-season. They mortgaged their future for a 40 year old Aaron Rodgers, who comes with a large contract and has 10 total TD’s in 9 games played as a Jet. There is a thread on the Jets forum calling for Rodgers to be benched and Tyrod Taylor to start next week. They traded for Davante Adams, presumably at Rodgers request, and he brought with him a $140 Million dollar contract. The Jets are 0-2 since signing him. They fired their head coach and are now fielding calls for them to fire the interim coach. Their offensive coordinator has already been demoted. To make matters worse, their former QB bust is playing quite well for the Vikings.

The Patriots, after 2 decades of rule, are on pace to miss the playoffs for the 3rd consecutive season. Their former player and current head coach seems not ready for position.

Life is good.

The Bills are -4000 to win the division.

We have 6 wins, and there's a good chance that no other AFC East team will have 6 wins by Christmas.

I'm not even joking. I don't think any of those teams can go 4-4 in their next 8 games.

you are probably correct...

Dolphins play the. Bills,  Rams, Raiders, Patriots, Packers, Jets, Texans and 49ers... and 6 of their final nine games are ON THE ROAD.

Jets play Texans, Cardinals, Colts, Seahawks,  Dolphins, Jaguars, Rams, Bills.....

Both teams have very good chance to lose 4 of those games each.

One of the things that helped the Patriots out all those years was the other teams in the AFC East making dumb, short term, impatient decisions to try and close the gap that meant they were never truly able to build a consistent winner. Cetainly with the Jets and Dolphins the last few years history has repeated.

Bills need to keep stacking wins, stay healthy and continue to fine tune their execution. Five home games out of their last nine.  Bills continue to rule the AFCE!

Yesterday was one of Brady’s best games from a playcalling standpoint and the team looked ready to go from the kickoff! You can tell they felt confident and were having fun.

LETS GO BUFFALO!

The Aaron Rodgers Experience has set the Jets back at least three years, and caused them to waste the prime years of players like Quinnen and Quincy Williams, Sauce Gardner and others.  Not sure what Rodgers’s contract looks like after this season, but the Jets are in for a full re-build with a new coaching staff and a rookie QB, and they just doubled down with Davante Adams, who will want no part of that.  And the Dolphins are arguably in even worse shape…

100% correct. If Drake Maye can play I expect the Pats to be relevant before either of them.
