Simon Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Haven't see him all year and then he pops up and plays a very good game, imo. Having Carter go out on IR was a little worrisome, especially with Oliver playing hurt. But Ankou's performance today might make us a little more comfortable than we were yesterday. Way to scrap, Eli. Keep it up and they won't be able to take you out of the rotation. 7 2 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted October 28 Posted October 28 He looked bigger than I recall and showed up well when run toward. Earned another start next week IMO. Perhaps Beane will feel okay at DT now Quote
JohnNord Posted October 28 Posted October 28 I noticed the same thing and thought that Eli played well. I’m assuming he gets the call up next and if it goes well again you have to wonder if they give him the spot taken by Zion Louge. He didn’t play well and has been a healthy scratch ever since. Quote
HurlyBurly51 Posted October 28 Posted October 28 I had no problem with him being activated over Zion. Glad he took advantage of his opportunity, especially since Zion wasn’t exactly impressive. Side note on Oliver, I was a little worried when he was hauling butt trying to chase Geno down on an escape play, and was hollering watch that hammy! 1 Quote

They already had jones and johnson healthy and active. They have no choice but to play ankou for these next 4 weeks. hopefully he plays well. Quote

Yeah, I hate hammies; they tend to linger and seem like they can go again any second and as a result make guys tentative. Oliver looked strong today so hopefully it was really minor and they were just being overcautious. 1 Quote

Some were complaining pregame that Logue should just be released if Ankou was getting the nod over him, when Eli can play the 1 and 3. Quote
