I wish him a speedy recovery.

I wonder where he will end up next year.  Seems he would be perfect for the Jets.

I bet he takes a discount to play for the Cowboys. They’ve been a volume passing team with Dak, and he can possibly get decent stats there to get one last deal. Also to play with his bro.

No matter what issues he had with the Bills or the Bills had with him, I hate to see this. Especially tough for him since he's on an expiring contract.

I think you understood the premise.

If you have anything stating with authority that Diggs demanded a trade, I'll agree.

I mean the GQ interview he says teams didn’t want to move on from him, that he was moved because he wanted to move.

And in the case of Buffalo, he knew that was the case at the start of the year.

Quote

“None of those teams wanted to get rid of me,” Diggs told GQ. “Things had to shake because I kind of wanted them to shake.”

“We knew where things were going—I did, at least,” Diggs added. "The outside world had so much speculation. I knew, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year to the offseason, exactly what was going on. Not too much confusion on my end.”

There is a common denominator among some of the Bills players who have entered the fan base is that while they were here they had these giant but soft personalities and really embraced the city and its fans.

When thinking of guys like Fitz, Stevie Johnson and Tre White come to mind. To a lesser extent you could even throw Shady McCoy into the mix.

But Diggs on his worst days here was very cold to the city, and on his best days “fine”. Fitz is a guy you wish you could invite to your kids birthday party and Diggs is a guy nobody wants to date their daughter.

Also, you think he’s going to be there the opening weekend for the new stadium? HAHAHAHA

Diggs was a good dude and enjoyed his stay here. And who can forget him taking selfies with fans, especially kids, at the open practices at the stadium. He’s a hound dog though, and he may have crossed a few boundaries with a lady or two in the building. But that aside, he was a great competitor between the lines and I respect him as a football player and it sucks he’s done done for the season with a long road back to what he was, if he ever gets there again.

This would bring even more attention to Jerry Jones, would be great theater to watch.

I said he was done in Sunday when I saw the injury occur.  Sern it motpre than a few times over the years in a non contact turn injury.

it wasn’t a meniscus tear. I’ve had it happen to both of my knees and had surgery.

I can translate.

”Seen it more” is the correct translation.

I speak message board jive in case anyone was curious.

Non contact injuries happen with enough frequency that it strikes me as odd...

Finely tuned pro athletes tear ACL's just moving around, or dropping back to pass for QBs?

IMO these are almost always minor, unnoticed injuries that get a little worse, a little worse, then BAM! But I have no idea, just guessing.

I said this about Achilles injuries and I agree it is odd. It's just so random

Great competitor - I can just about agree, although a lot of it seemed for public show / consumption - "just look how much I care, I'm shouting at everyone publicly"

Great teammate - second half of last season says otherwise.

And the teammate part is the more important part

So ACL means he won't be ready till what December next year?

He's a FA, no one is going to sign him

He may call it a career

It is possible, but I am sorry his ego is just too big. I think he is coming back or gonna try too... will he be successful... time will tell... but ima bet he is gonna try. And someone will sign him.  Just may not be to training camp... I think he is going the way of OBJ...

Get well Stef.

Whatever else you want to say about him, the best four year stretch of any Bills WR ever - and it's not close.

He was declining, he needed to go, he should have caught the ball against KC ... yes.

445 catches

5,372 yards

37 TDs

Feel a little bad for Diggs. He honestly stayed remarkably healthy most of his career. Tough to get an injury like that at this age in what is essentially a contract year

Ironic that he often took great care avoiding contact after a catch and now this.

I'm with you.  Now he can start his career in fashion.

Mercifully, I don't think his fashion tastes can stand up on their own as a career.

Still fresh.  Fans were ready to throw Fitz over Niagra falls when he was cut.  Maybe not 2026 still might be playing but not much later.  Bouncing around from team to team.  Mccoy left in a similar way.  Diggs after he isn’t competing against Buffalo will change his tune.  All these stubborn fans will change there tune if he says a few complimentary things towards the fan base. Maybe he doesn't and it’s always weird.  I predict he does while he transitions to tv.

Yup. Same fans were happy to see first ballot HOF Jason Peters get traded too for asking for appropriate compensation which the Eagles gave him.
