Wishing Stef the best. He was dog while he was here, and wanted to win. Helped bring on Allen to where he is now and repsonsible for a lot of memories for me as a fan. The amount of hate and ridicule got this guy is disgustiing. He does it differently and doesn’t fall in line like a good solider…which many ppl get butt hurt about. Many elite ones don’t.

Hope he is alright. I’ll always appreciate him and his solid years here. Allen Diggs 2020

It's ok to love his good times and be sour/upset with what transpired over the last 24 months.

He's costing us $30m on cap this year.  Part of that is Beane.  He gave Stef the $$$s he was asking for and deserved at the time.  Stef's attitude also took a 180, his play was suspect and made a critical drop in the playoffs.  Then all but forced his way out of Buffalo, again costing us a ton of cap.  Not to mention alot of backroom/behind the scene antics that wore on alot of players/staff.

Loved the good times, but he reverted to his Minnesota self last year.  Exactly what many warned of.  Stef honeymoon period is great, eventually the game becomes more about him over team.

It didn’t work out.

He is partially to blame. Beane unnecessarily paid early. All in all the end result was not what anyone wanted. Regardless, it isn’t enough for me to celebrate or find redemption out of an injury. This guy bled blue and red for years.

I didn't read the thread.. was it physically or his feelings?

Yes.

Actually he went out with a knee injury; it was non-contact and could potentially be serious.

What is so wrong with what I said, to deserve this?

You're clearly sensitive.  My point is what I said.

I'm not here hoping Diggs tore his ACL or cheering that he was injured.  As I said in my post, I'm not showing any sympathy though.  Sometimes bad things happen.  See Desean Watson, a completely different situation/injury.

Again, it's not about wishing injury on anyone or hoping for the worst outcome.  It's about recognizing that Diggs forced his way out, and now is injured.  Facts and facts.  Call it karma, call it bad luck...doesn't implicate what you're trying to get across.

That's lacking an empathic response...he annoyed your pro sports team and you are feeling the need to restrict empathy...on the same spectrum, that if something like that happened to your absolute favorite player you would feel excruciating empathy...that is where the karma lives. don't give karma a reason to think it's a good opportunity for you to learn a lesson

Diggs was a great WR in Buffalo but between the drama at the end of his stint and how poorly he played against KC (and how easily he brushed it off) made me grow to dislike him.

Yet I hated seeing what appears to be a long term injury.  Never would have wished this on and hoping for a full recovery.

Diggs hurt the team while he was here, and after by forcing us to get rid of him under that ridiculous contract. I don't feel sad for him. A concussion or something that would have a major effect on his long term quality of life, I would be sad for. Not this. It's just something that happens in football.

To the bolded, I don't claim to be an expert on these matters but "trying not to tempt fate" is not the reason to feel or act with empathy.

Also regardless of any of our feelings, it's a legitimate discussion whether Diggs is worthy of compassion and sympathy in this moment.

Ironically one could argue that his injury is his karma.

It's certainly not the best reason, but if it's the only thing that somebody can utilize to become actively better, it will do to pay the bills.

I don't think anyone is celebrating, at least I'm not.  Just stating I'm not feeling bad for him.

You're overthinking my point and response.

Simple as Diggs isn't on our team anymore.   I'm not wishing ill will or feeling sadness.  Again, you're looking to instigate when there's nothing here.  Diggs does well in Houston, or he faces tough times.  It was his decision to leave.

Yep I definitely don't feel bad for him.

I don't wish injury on anyone, but not shedding a tear for that guy

at the speeds and physicality of NFL football I'm grateful that there are as few serious injuries as there are. Knees injuries,  Achilles snap OOF

Sometimes those injuries like what occured with diggs today are non contact a matter of physics if you will.

It's a part of the game. The players get it.  Here comes REHAB OH JOY. It's the NFL. they are paid very well for the inconvenience

You wish injuries  wouldn't happen but they invariably do. I don't lose sleep over them. what are ya gonna do?  An unfortunate part of the game

Thought it looked like an LCL, but he was grabbing at the center of his knee. Maybe a meniscus injury, hopefully not an ACL. If so Diggs is likely a FA until healthy and will be shopping his services fall 2025.

I agree. It's been a good enough reason for a couple thousand years given that the Fates were an ancient Greek thing.  It will do in a pinch.

I don't really have strong feelings about Diggs either way.  We knew what we were getting when we traded for him and he did exactly what everyone expected. I don't know why people are butthurt about it.  Diggs is the sort of guy who needs to get thrown out of an Applebee's every now and again just to feel normal.  I'd wager his personal relationships are similar to his professional ones.  Everything is great early on, then he gets bored and itchy and feels the needs for something new and then agitates the situation until someone ditches him.  He won't ditch them, but he will be an ass until he gets ditched so he can preserve his ego and sense of continual aggrievance.

See I thought he grabbed the upper area near the bottom of his quad which could be a tendon.  Whatever. We will find out tomorrow.  I don't wish the guy ill, we've had wayyy bigger turds roll through town.
