The Bills got away with a penalty there, Dawkins had his head turned and should have been called for a hands to the face penalty. that is how he got runover. Hard to believe the refs missed that opportunity to toss another flag😅 2 3 Quote
bobobonators Posted October 28 Posted October 28 One of the better all-around games we’ve played in a while. Penalties are annoying, but we imposed our will on the Hawks, in their house. Outstanding, fellas! We are starting to click on all cylinders and next week we get a rested Von Miller back 🤗 1 Quote

If Bills get to 12 wins, the others can't get there with 6 losses. if Bills sweep Fish Sunday, Magic number is 3 vs. them. Gotta love calculating magic numbers to clinch division in week 8 when for so many years it was magic numbers and twisted scenarios involving 7 other teams near end of season to maybe get a wild card 2 Quote
Rocky Landing Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Khalil Shakir with another phenomenal game. A 90% completion rate (9/10) on the day. Unfortunately, the one he missed was batted out of the air before it got anywhere near him. This game puts him at a 94.7% completion rate-- 36 receptions on 38 targets-- for 421 yards, eight games in. 7 5 2 Quote

Cook today was reminding me of that. His game has got significantly better this year. Today was amazing. 1 6 Quote

folz Posted October 28 Posted October 28 What I love about Shakir, besides the fact that he's becoming one of the best YAC players in the game: Catch percentage: 2023: 87% 2024 (to date): 94.7% And am I starting to actually like Tom Brady? 😬 First it was his camaraderie with Josh during "The Match" golf game, and now today, a decent color analyst who overly praised the Bills and Bills Mafia. A couple of notes about Brady's talk: 1. It was interesting to see how often he praised McDermott and the Bills for being such a well-coached team. McDermott came from Any Reid's tree and I'm sure he learned a ton from him and the other coaches he's worked with. But, early in his career, I personally felt that McD modeled a lot of his coaching style after Bill Belichick. I used to say McDermott was Belichick with a heart (not meaning he was as good as Bill or would do what Bill did---would be nice---but just in patterning his coaching style after him). 2. I also found it interesting when Tom talked about how hard it was to face McDermott's defense, because they were so good at taking away what you are good at (similar again to Bill). He said they would have to get away from their base plays, and run more exotic stuff to keep the defense on their toes. That made me think of the last couple of opponents who ran a lot of unusual plays to the point of one Bill, I think last week, saying, they threw the kitchen sink at us. I'm sure that must play into the defense being a much better second half team, or at least after the other team's first couple of drives when they've already thrown in a lot of that extra stuff/different plays they've worked on. It also shows that McD and Bobby are doing a great job of making adjustments in game. And Congrats to Austin Johnson on first first ever interception at any level of football. Great TEAM win. Go Bills! 10 Quote

Bruffalo Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Late to the party tonight but I wanted to throw some (probably not original) thoughts out there: - This game was just bizarre and probably should have been closer. All the flukey stuff was happening like bad snaps, QB trips, fumbles being kicked for forward progress, etc... but it all went in the Bills favor. Some serious luck there, but the Bills looked like the better team for the majority of the day. - Coleman is stacking good games right now. He's looking better and better each week and I'm impressed by it. Let's hope the trend continues, but right now he looks excellent for a 2nd round pick. - Shakir is that guy. Seriously. He's the piece Josh has been missing since Beasley left. Love his game. - Less RB impact than I expected. That being said, Cook had a great game and looked the part. - Douglas looked mean, Hamlin still looked iffy. Some good line play but better coverage. - The refs need to chill the eff out. That's the 2nd game this season that's been painful to watch because of a flag every other play. Go Bills. Quote
