I think he’ll make a trade for defense but why not add Kupp as well? Give Allen too many weapons. Yeah, and "Cook rushes up the middle for a two yard gain." 🤨

ChasBB
They'd be fortunate to get 2 seasons of work out of him - for a 2nd rounder and big salary. That's a high price. That 2nd rounder, if selected well, may play here for 10 seasons. I get the all-in-now approach, but this particular one is a bit too costly to the future, imho.

Then keep drafting speed wrs. Kupp will be too pricey. Zero reason to extend him mid-season. Let him play the year out on the cheap deal and remember that he counts toward the compensatory pick formula. If someone else offers him a massive contract, we get a 3rd or 4th rounder pack. Let the market dictate his value instead of guessing mid-season. Way too much risk and distraction. Zero upside. 2

I believe the max is a 5th round comp pick for him due to the years played after a quick google search found this If an NFL player is a CFA and has 10 or more credited seasons, there is a cap on their round in which they are designated. Unless the player is a quarterback, any player with more than 10 years experience cannot be ranked higher than a fifth-round compensatory pick. He is still an above average kicker. Safety might be an issue but if we address it my belief is Hyde and nothing else. LB is the biggest issue to me as these guys keep getting injured. With Milano and Bernard are we ever going to see them together to see their true potential on defense?

But Cooper won't be a lot cheaper, not if it's clear to the Bills and to his agents that he became the difference between a good season for the Bills, and a great one. And A Cooper has been clear he wants to play in the south. It takes 2 to tango and A Cooper wants to dictate where he plays when he becomes a free agent. You can't just extend him for 2 years. On the other hand, Muki Hawkins posted we were still in it on Saturday. I don't think he's Adam Schefter or anything. But he is media credentialed with the Bills and at the facility for every Press Conference. Beane has talked about this multiple times.. they get in on guys for information. They were extremely unlikely to get Adams, but they were in on him to know the price.. which likely directly led to them closing the Amarai Cooper deal. They get on these deals so they know what guys are going for and what other teams are doing..
Beck Water
I don't know about "kicking the tires" (Beane or one of his minions calls about a lot of options), or about this source. But the chances seem slim that: 1) the Bills would trade a pick AND absorb Kupp's salary 2) the Rams are now tied for 2nd in an NFC West that seems wide open. why would they be talent sellers at this point? Seems to me as though the source is puffing up some old scraps into new clickbait

JakeFrommStateFarm
Very possible. Beane may be thinking ahead for 2025 and 2026 where Kupp is still under contract. Cooper who is an UFA after this season could demand a 100M contract. Bills won't pay that and cooper walks. Would be nice to have Cupp on the roster if that happens.

If they were going to spend, you have to think it would go for a DT or Safety. As good as Kupp is, the problem is that he plays the same position as one of their beat WR’s. Shakir continues to develop and probably is Josh’s most trusted WR. I think you want to find a way to get him on the field more…not less

sven233
Trade rumors are fun and all, but very few every come to fruition as we all know. We also know that Beane has repeatedly said he is involved in just about every discussion for pretty much any available player that can help us. That said, my focus is on 2 positions..... 1 true immovable run plugger 1 Tech and safety. Hamlin is a nice story, but he isn't going to change a game for you or fit the run when you really need it. And, as we have seen repeatedly this season, teams with dominant run games eat this undersized front alive. We have a bunch of quick, athletic guys, but nobody is truly stout against the run. I know Beane has to see it. We all do.... Just have to hope he values it as much as we do because not matter how talented we are, if we can't even slow down the run come the playoffs, we are not going to go very far. But out of those two positions, DT is by far more "plug and play". I'm on the DT train for immediate help.
