10/27/24 Game 8 GAMEDAY Bills at Seahawks

This is definitely a game where it's imperative to RUN AND STOP THE RUN.

They have a good secondary. I expect Josh to throw his first INT of the season against it. But they can be gashed in the run. Have to take advantage of it.

On the other side of the ball, Seattle likes to run to make life easier for Geno. Slow the pass rush and without Bernard, this may be a tougher task than normal.

Can't start slow on defense. Have to shut the run down early.

yea look. qb league.

its still geno (old and backup now found some success) smith vs josh allen. its time josh carries the team on his back today on a national 415 window. were paying him like a franchise mvp. I want some results. I can live w our D losing the game. in no universe should geno out play allen

Allen carries this team every week........

If Allen is not the QB of this team, we might win 5 games.

No bleep. Thats what franchise MVP team qbs are expected to do. Hes not running this year. All im saying goff roasted this team. purdy went into seattle and won by 12. Hell - daniel jones went into seattle and won. Allen cant get outplayed by geno. Will be truly disappointing

Just now, DapperCam said:

I don’t expect Allen to get his first pick today. It’s going to be rainy, and the Seahawks STINK against the run. I think Allen’s attempts will be relatively low and we will be seeing a lot of Cook and Davis.

prob if mcd has his way. Dan O said he WOULD throw first / go for BIG chunk plays in the air bc thats was seattle does.

Agree with this take, now that he has Cooper. A win is still a win even if it is ugly. But it would be nice to see this offense really humming.

When you said at the end you just "want some results", it made it sound like he hasn't been pulling his weight or something.  Of course we want him to be the best QB on the field today, and he should be, but let's not pretend this is the same Geno Smith that we watched for years struggle to throw the ball.  He's much better and leads the entire league in passing.  So, it's not like he is a scrub out there.  Not having Metcalf should absolutely hurt them and hinder what Geno likes to do, though, so yes......Allen should absolutely outplay him on this given Sunday for sure.

But this is not about Josh vs Geno.  It's about their offense against our defense and our defense is without Bernard and already has enough trouble stopping the run as it is even when he does play.  Geno could do next to nothing today and we could still lose if they keep breaking off big runs against this terrible run defense.  Our best bet would absolutely to come out scoring and force them out of their run game quickly and Allen and the offense should have opportunities to do just that.

I think Brady is going to lean on the run game for the offense as they did with Dallas last year.  Seattle's D is vulnerable against the run; teams have been racking up the yards on the ground against them.  Cook and Davis are a great one two punch.  Plus the weather calls for rain and possible winds up to 20 mph. I know Josh is perfectly capable in those elements, but let the run set up the pass.
