Immediately after the first injury I figured the future of Tre White was S. This could be an absolute perfect opportunity here to make this move and let him close out his career where he should be. Move him to S. He knows the defense, his skill set is absolutely transferable. He absolutely can handle every aspect of it. Bring back an all time Bill and fan favorite and help fix the issue you have back there. I’d be all for it if you can make the money work.

He’s in no way, shape or form safety material

He MIGHT be worth being put on practice squad as a senior player-coach to help coach up players such as Elam which would allow him to stay in shape and match in practice WRs.

If Elam could be “coached up”, dontcha think that would have happened by now?

Tre White is a terrible tackler. He would not be a good safety. Guys like Benford or Douglas would be better safeties because they excel in zone coverage and are great tacklers. White is not like that.

Some people have been throwing around Elam as a safety. That is even more foolish than thinking White could be a safety. Elam is a man coverage corner. Zone has been more of a struggle. He would be a terrible safety.

He’s also a poor tackler like White.

I loved Trey here in his prime. Great player.  However, he has suffered two back to back devastating injuries and has barely played the past three years.  He is currently not good enough to make the game day roster for one of the worst teams in the league.  He would not be in the top 4 outside corners here.  People need to move on.  It is unfortunate but he is done.

It what world are the Rams one of the worst teams in the league?

Let him get cut at the end of the year and bring him in for camp next year if you think he even still has a shot at an NFL roster anymore. Chances are he doesn't make it through camp and retires next summer.

He's been inactive for the past two games, though healthy.

If they do, will everybody say they are in rebuilding mode because they are letting go one of their most valuable players on defense?

Before the season, the media made a huge deal of us, losing White and Poyer, but most of us knew their best days were in the rear view, unfortunately.

You can always tell how much people pay attention to the rest of the league with threads like this. Anyone advocating for Tre or commenting when someone says “he’s done” aren’t paying attention. We all love Tre. He has been a healthy scratch for a few straight weeks. He is ranked 101 of 105 CBs. He’s cooked. Next time we see him in Bills gear hopefully it’s leading the charge before a game.

I have watched the Rams games he’s played. He has been the worst player on the field.

Sucks because he was great at one point (that whole 2017 first round class was elite tbh). But he’s done. He won’t be on a team next year.

It’s sad to see but it happens. He was a great player, with a short prime, and his career is ending over injuries. He’s Sam Cowart.

I knew his career was pretty much over as soon as that injury happened unfortunately. Achilles is the single most difficult injury to come back from if your job requires speed/explosiveness. The data for NFLers coming back from Achilles injuries is horrible

Been inactive the last few games..

Not surprising.

When he has played he has been getting smoked deep.

Additional update on Tre’s status:

Sounds like Tre is the one pushing for it...

Sucks when you still think you have it even tho everyone knows and can clearly see you don't...
