Okay... maybe I'm wrong.

If you have access I'd love to know where Rasul and Benford stack up.

Thanks!

Benford is #13 overall and in pass coverage, giving up a passer rating of 60.6

Johnson and Douglas are both tied for #58 overall.

Taron is giving up a 98.8 passer rating when targeted

Douglas is giving up a 118.6 passer rating when targeted

Last year all three were in the top 20.

I don't think he is physical enough for safety.

I remember him being decent in run support when he was at his peak.

Maybe we can sign him this offseason with the thought of trying him at Safety. I wouldn’t do it in-season.

He was notoriously slow to get back into form after the ACL. It may be the same with the Achilles and he may eventually find his form before he ages out. He’ll never be the guy he used to be, but anything reasonably close is someone I’d take a good look at.

It's statements like that what cause unrest.

I loved Trey here in his prime. Great player.  However, he has suffered two back to back devastating injuries and has barely played the past three years.  He is currently not good enough to make the game day roster for one of the worst teams in the league.  He would not be in the top 4 outside corners here.  People need to move on.  It is unfortunate but he is done.

He’s not toast….he is not 100% after last years of injury.

And if he's been a healthy scratch that just gives him more time to heal . We know he works his arss off and we are in need of safety depth if he would agree to come back on a nice contract why not ? At the very least give him a shout to end his career where it started .

You never know it could turn out for the better too .

Tre was a great player for us until injuries robbed him of his speed. He has had a terrible year with the rams  and was essentially benched.  He has been inactive the last two games at least. I’ll take Elam any day over White at this point in their careers. For that matter Daequan Hardy brings more than Tre White. How about CB Greg Newsome from Cleveland for depth. Or  Hey let’s trade for an actual safety.

Tre is not suitable as a Safety - he is not a good tackler and not all CBs can transition to safety.

Bills could sign him as 5th or 6th CB but then developing CBs would miss snaps.

Better for Rams to trade him to Seahawks despite them being in their division - Seahawks are hurting for CBs.

Beane really knows what he is doing.   Interesting how Diggs, Davis and White are significantly underperforming on their new teams.   Looks like the Bills dodged bullets on all three.  Haven't checked in on Edmunds, but I don't hear a thing about what he is doing with the Bears.   McBeanes seem to be moving on from washed guys at the right time.   Morse as well.   Von Miler is an exception, but probably only due to his contract's cap impacts.

He's coming of an achilles injury.  There was no way he was going to be ready to impact on the field early this season.  Not sure what the hell the Rams were thinking TBH.  I'd bring him in if he was released and let him nurse himself back to health with an eye on 2025.  There's still a chance he could be a good depth or 2nd corner in 2025.  He knows the system and fits it well.

Tre knew his ruptured achilles last year was the beginning of the end of his career.  He got his payday prior and fortunately, even $10M this year.  Injuries and age catch up to players!  Sad, but it's the reality of pro football!  Wish you well Tre!!

Don't forget about Poyer and probably even Hyde if he were still playing!
