Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted October 26 Posted October 26 This is a refreshing change. Weren’t we usually in the bottom third of the league in YAC from 2020 - 2023. As good as Diggs was he usually didn’t YAC much. I think this goes to show it is more about the receivers skill set and less about the QB putting it in the perfect spot for YAC. 2 Quote

For Diggs it partially was due to him being double covered a lot. 2 Quote

The Bills were better last season (20th in YAC per completion). However, before that the Bills were 31st in 2022 and dead last in 2021. The Bills were 23rd in 2020. It would be interesting to see the breakdown between Dorsey and Brady last season. 1 Quote

Sammy, that’s true, but in years past we had more air yards as everyone knows Josh prefers to push the ball downfield. That’s the problem with stats. You have to look at both sides as the truth mainly lands somewhere in the middle. One area I like the most is we may be lower in team stats as far as rushing or passing or total yards, but points scored vs. points allowed tells a story amd why we are 5-2. We are 5th in the league in pts./game scored, amd 7th in pts.allowed on defense. We’re quite a bit lower in overall yards, pass, amd rush yards. Those categories don’t tell the story, but pts scored and allowed e plains 5-2. Im guessing air yards will increase with a healthier Shakir, Coleman finding his way, and well, the obvious in the Cooper addition. 2 Quote

I would think being the slowest wide receiver to ever play the game, and someone who could not get open if he was paid to do so, Coleman would likely be last in yards after catch in what everyone considered a superb rookie class of wideouts, one of the best ever. Instead, he is the best in this great group? And with his almost standing still speed, you would think his yards per catch would be dismal. But his 20.4 yards per catch is the best by far among rookie wide receivers this year. And also the 3rd best YPC in the NFL, among all wide receivers. Lkely just an aberration, luck. And Beane too, just seemed to get lucky, again. Edited October 27 by Mister Defense 2 1 1 Quote

Mr. WEO Posted October 26 Posted October 26 OJ only ran for 57 TDs in 9 seasons with the Bills??? I always figured it was a lot more. Quote

He really only had 4 good years. 1 Quote

I think they were typically bottom 1-3, last year it got a little better, this year is remarkably better Quote
