I don’t think he’s a fool at all for continuing to play, I don’t believe it’s the money, I just believe he feels he has unfinished business (if he already had a Super Bowl to his name I think he might have quit). but he has gone through a serious episode twice now, talked to specialists, his family apparently wanted him to quit. It’s all on him and his own decision now. He’s an adult who has made his choice. I hope he stays healthy but if this happens again he definitely isn’t some poor victim who was thrown out there by the dolphins, even though a lot of people in the media will try and pin it on them and the NFL To the bolded, I don't think he's chasing the Super Bowl. As stupid as he appears to me, he can't possibly believe that he (with or without the Dolphins) has the ability to win a Super Bowl. 9 hours ago, Low Positive said: I don't feel sorry for Tua at all. But he was asked point blank whether he would wear a Guardian cap and he said “no”. What are the redeeming qualities you see in this guy? By the testimony of pretty much anyone who has met him (including Josh Allen) Tua is a good guy. That said, I'm pretty convinced he's not very bright. 1 Quote

Do you wear a leather helmet or some skull protection when driving? Do you don chaps when using a chainsaw? Harsh. Yeah, because driving to the grocery market and getting tackled by 300 lbs of muscle running full speed weekly are really the same thing. But, who knows. Maybe if I’ve had 6 concussions while driving a car, I probably would wear a helmet next time. And if my nuts had multiple near misses with a chainsaw, I think I’d use much more protection than chaps. Did you really think about your response before posting? As for disliking him? I don’t dislike him, nor do I like him. I’ve never met the guy and can only have an opinion on his actions. And not trying to decrease the likelihood of another concussion seems foolish. I don’t think anyone on here dislikes him. His body, his choice. But rather, people have a limit to their sympathy. So, when he’s carried out on a stretcher next (not if, but when), I just don’t think a lot of people are going to look at the event as a shocking injustice. Edited October 26 by Saint Doug 1 Quote

Here’s a question for you just for the sake of debate…. The NFL has had to deal with lawsuits over players suffering concussions and having long term health effects because of them. Should (or could) the NFL step in and say Tua is not allowed to play any longer and site they are concerned for his well being? Quote

He might be able to slide in the open field on scrambles but it will impossible to avoid the standard contact that comes with playing professional football. Quote

They have the independent doctors and cleared him. and maybe he signs the waiver just like I signed for my kids when they enter Skyzone gym. 😆 and If he goes out there and gets his brain scrambled again, it’s his decision. And let me add, that if Josh Allen had some concussion issues and he was cleared for a big must-win game tomorrow. we’d be totally pumped. So if i’m a Miami fan i’d be excited to have him back. Quote

ColoradoBills Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Tua wants to play, and the Dolphins agree, it's all on them. I've watched a lot of football since the AFL days and seen a lot of players get their "bell rung". Tua's concussions are a different story. No one can tell me his isn't more prone to these than the average player and that they affect him more severely. I don't want to hear anything questioning officials, defensive players and even his own OL if he is found playing "cat's cradle" again. It's all on him and the Dolphins. 2 Quote
without a drought Posted October 27 Posted October 27 He's not wearing the guardian cap, but he did switch to one of the safest new design helmets. It's considered safer than the standard helmet with a guardian cap. Quote

Scott7975 Posted October 27 Posted October 27 People getting all upset about this. It's Tua's life. He isnt looking for any of your sympathy. He is doing what he wants to do. It's his decision on what he does with his life, just like you all have a right to do with what you want with yours. Quote
