Idiot.

I agree. Especially since he just outright won’t wear the guardian cap. I don’t care if it offered 0.5% better protection; we’re talking about the brain here, not an added shoulder pad.

Generational wealth, unfortunately he’ll only remember a third of his own generation.

Steve Young got battered mercilessly at the end of his career. With no concussion protocols. And he looks normal. Same for many boxers and MMA fighters. You just never know.

I would not take that risk but I get it that it's hard to just let go like that

I initially felt bad for Tua after he had a couple of concussions but after his latest one I said to myself you just can’t ever come back from that. You’ve secured the bag Tua just retire

Ans now that he has decided to return and refused to wear the guardian cap? He has what’s coming to him honestly and I have no sympathy for him.

I like Tua as a person and wish him well (except against the Bills).  I’m already dreading the next time he’s concussed.  Don’t think it’s an if just a matter of when.

Out of curiosity, what exactly lead you to “like” Tua? I’m mean, compared to Tyrek, he’s probably a standup guy. But he was asked point blank whether he would wear a Guardian cap and he said “no”. What are the redeeming qualities you see in this guy?

He should not play....  He is one hit away from devasting concussion.  He had 2 concussions playing against Bills in 3 games.

The previous ones looked pretty devastating to me

Good for him. He’s a grown man and he can make his own decisions. Would I make it?  No. But I wouldn’t even step foot on a football field regardless of concussions.  Everything has risk and he can make his own judgement call.  Playing football in general you know you’re risking your brain health regardless of concussions.

You dislike a guy and judge him as unredeemable because of the guardian cap?  Do you wear a leather helmet or some skull protection when driving?  Do you don chaps when using a chainsaw?  Harsh.

Tua can do what he wants but it’s laughable that McDaniels said ‘zero’ doctors recommended he retire!!  Who the hell are those doctors and what doctor would suggest a player with a history of concussions go play again?
