Alphadawg7 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Odd timing...but he is having Ken call the plays starting this week and that is the plan moving forward. Wonder if it was Stefanski's decision or if it came down from above. I mean just not having the atrocious Watson behind center will make the offense better as that has pretty much happened every time Watson was out really. So with no Watson, the offense could see a boost just on that alone, which when it does its going to make Stefanski look worse as if he was the issue or at least part of the issue. So interesting timing... 1 2 Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Just like trading Cooper, they're selling off pieces since their season is over. This is a move so Stefanski 1. can find out what he really has at OC and 2. can blame someone else and keep his HC job when they finish 3-14. 6 3 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Two schools of thought here in Cleveland. 1. He was protecting Dorsey knowing no matter who called the plays the offense was going to suck with Watson and all the injuries 2. He's either going to quit or get fired 1 Quote

Is there really any doubt about that in the 'Land? Quote
US Egg Posted October 24 Posted October 24 So Cleveland fans will be turning their attention to the Cavaliers before Halloween. Been there, done that. 2 Quote
Fleezoid Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Sure are a lot of teams going off the rails this year. 4 Quote
Bray Wyatt Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Stefanski is a 2x coach of the year, went to the playoffs last year, and has a playoff win under his belt. If Cleveland fires him, they will earn all of the misery that is coming 1 5 1 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted October 24 Posted October 24 It would be a very Haslam move to fire his 2x Coach of the Year as if that is the problem with this team. 3 5 3 Quote

For all the talk about Jerry and his meddling, he’s still managed to give coaches a leash if there’s some form of success. Like you both point out, Stefanski is the last of the issues there. Even going back to his assistant coach/coordinator days in Minnesota, you don’t stay for the tenure of 3 different head coaches unless you’re doing something right. The casual fan even knows where the problems begin. Haslam is literally the worst owner in the league. Hands down. Tepper is closing in though lol 2 1 Quote

Looking like quite a few. Mathematically very low, I would say 3, out of the following 4: New England , Carolina, Browns and Titans. 1 Quote

Doc Brown Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Allen's turnovers were highest under Dorsey. Winston the last 30 TD, 30 INT QB. Should work out great. 1 2 Quote
GunnerBill Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Id hire Stefanski as OC tomorrow if he gets fired. I think he is really good. 3 2 2 Quote
