It would be rural vs urban. I live way out in the country for a reason. We used to work in the city and it's absolute filth. Now where we live it's so safe that we don't even lock our doors. The Dems want the entire red map to look like their blue cities. They should just leave us alone and stay in their tiny blue dots. Stop trying to push your beliefs on us. You live how you want to live and let us live our way. If not then yes, I can see there being an issue. In the past, the cities were the financial centers but with work from home this is no longer the case. In the future we won't need their cities but they will eventually want our farm land. It was supposed to be the United STATES. A bunch of different states with different lives and beliefs that come together to form a nation. But now the power has shifted to the federal government. Just look at Roe v Wade. They HATE that the power is back with the states (where it should be). More power should be with the states but it's a power grab and the federal government isn't willing to give it up. I have nothing in common with city people. If I believed what they believed or wanted to live like them I would live and work in the city. For them to tell us we have to think like they do is nonsense and we are sick of it. Leave us alone. Tax us if you must but don't tell us how to think or what to believe or how to raise our kids. The War for Independence began over a 3% tax on tea. Kamala wants 70% of my capital gains on my business. People are going to eventually get fed up. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. Edited October 24 by K D 3 1

Plenty of dairy, eggs, peaches 'apples and fruit in NY. And who could forget pistachios from California...besides the money the blue areas also have most of the brains.

Ah yes they have the "brains" because they went to a liberal arts school. I'm by far the least educated with only a bachelor's degree and all of my cousins have masters or PhD. I make more than probably all of them combined sadly. Teachers don't make much $ but they do get summers off!

I really can't believe I'm voting Republican. I was very against Bush and Cheney and post 911 loss of freedoms. But this stuff the Dems are doing is next level. I'm not a conservative even if most of my beliefs are. The difference is I would never push my beliefs on other people. Let them marry who they want, dress like women, marry their cat if they want, who cares as long as they are adults? Biden's tax plan that Kamala is likely moving forward with would mean a combined 55% taxes on capital gains for NY. Nope, they aren't getting the majority of my business when I sell it. I'll get the payment in Bitcoin and then move to the Bahamas. When they come after every day hard working Americans just trying to live a good life, then that's when things will go bad for them. It’s a dumb premise to say the big red empty spaces are more important than the small blue dots. The red spaces don’t believe in equality (one person one vote) they think they have right to control things because they have land and never have to interact with anyone else or more likely they just never listen to anyone else. I don’t think it will… seems redder this go around and the reason it went blue for Biden and gave us two Dem Senators is because of the man you mention above. Eventually, one way or another, he’ll be out of the picture. That said.. if it does, Georgia “blue” isn’t the same as NY “blue”. Dems compete in Georgia mainly through black folks, a growing Indian population and then trying to win Hispanics and the battleground Atlanta suburbs. They’ve made gains in the Atlanta suburbs due to Trump, but those Atlanta suburbs overwhelmingly support Republicans like Brian Kemp. Also.. black/hispanic voters in Georgia aren’t exactly progressive. They are heavy church going types and aren’t obsessed with abortion and lgbtq issues. Even the Democrat Mayor of Atlanta ran on stopping crime and came out against certain elements of the Biden/Harris border strategy. Weve had a few flare ups since the riots of 2020 and they’ve been heavy handedly shut down.
