It also allows the Bills flexibility with Milano if he struggles coming back. Williams has improved. is he Milano's replacement Not many would qualify. But I wouldn't sit him, Still fits some packages. Love to see 3 LB set once and again this year 🤩 2 minutes ago, balln said: What are people smoking? Is there any world where you think the bills would play Williams OVER all-pro - arguably our only consistent impact player on D - Milano? Really?!!?? To be fair- we haven’t seen him play yet after the tibial plateau fx. The pec injury won’t do anything to the longevity of his performance geesh that seems aggressive passive lol 1 Quote

Williams not even close It will take Milano a month worth of games to get into actual game shape, after he’s been cleared to play, and no one actually knows for sure when he will be able to even practice again, back to back season ending injuries are not something one miraculously come back from quickly, we will be very lucky if he’s not on a pitch count when the playoffs start, yeah, I’ve been drinking, so…, 😁👍🍸🚬 GO BILLS!!! 2 Quote
Big Turk Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Yes...Williams has been good but he still has some issues. Milano if he comes back and plays anything close to what he was is still well ahead of Williams in terms of ability, especially in coverage. 1 Quote
BigAl2526 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 It is a nice problem to have, but I think it is a no brainer. When Milano is fully healthy, he is the starter. Decision time comes when Milano's contract is up. Matt will want to get paid what he's worth. He will be a 32 year old linebacker at the end of his deal in February, 2027. I doubt Buffalo will want to pony up on a big contract if Dorian Williams is healthy and doing well. Quote
Magox Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Milano has been out of action for such a long time with two pretty big injuries. You never know how some players respond to these sort of injuries with this much time off, I suspect Milano will make a good return but that it may take some time to get back to his old self. I think he will be splitting time with Williams, which is ok 1 Quote
TFBillsfan Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Why are we getting into a pissing match over our LB’s? Let’s just pray they are all three healthy and ready for the playoffs! 4 minutes ago, Magox said: Milano has been out of action for such a long time with two pretty big injuries. Governor Posted October 24 Posted October 24 (edited) Milano coming back? Hahaha yeah right. Edited October 24 by Governor 1 1 Quote
BananaB Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Maybe they can run 3 LBers a little more against heavy running teams. Quote
gobills404 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I still expect (or maybe hope) Dorian still gets plenty of snaps unless it’s an obvious passing down. Milano should be worked back in slowly given his age and injury history and now Bernard is playing through his own ailments. I know playing the pass isn’t a strength of his but he isn’t a liability either like he was last year. If letting Dorian playing plenty of snaps means Milano and Bernard are ready to go come January I think it’s worth it. Quote
JoshAllin Posted October 24 Posted October 24 This post is too early he's coming back near final stretch to playoffs I believe. And Milano is simply superior at LB he can do more than tackle Quote

Almost forgot he's on the team. Good to great player, when healthy...... Just doesn't seem to have the best ability a player can have. Quote
pigpen65 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Dorian Williams is better than Edmunds ever was. 1 Quote

Dr.Sack Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I see them playing more base defense anyway vs the likely run heavy teams they will likely face in the playoffs (LAC, PIT, BAL, KC). So that means 4-3 with Taron playing more slot safety and Rapp playing single high. Quote
GreggTX Posted October 24 Posted October 24 8 hours ago, balln said: Yes. Hes a backup at this point. Very nice development year from last. But the bills keep him off the field on 3rd down passsing. Hes still a liability there Actually, his pass defense has improved and they've started leaving him on the field on 3rd down and 'long'. Quote
GunnerBill Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Milano and Bernard are the Bills best linebackers until proven otherwise. And Williams has definitely had some moments this year but he still needs the consistency. 1 Quote
