unbillievable Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Matt Milano is coming back. Eventually. Terrell Bernard is hurt, but he still plays. Dorian has been the Bills best linebacker this season, but will they have to bench him to get the better duo on the field? Or will they rotate? Quote
BlazinBill Posted October 23 Posted October 23 The way I see it no- he's not a MIKE LB he's a WILL LB- they really are completely different positions 1 3 1 Quote
balln Posted October 23 Posted October 23 (edited) Yes. Hes a backup at this point. Very nice development year from last. But the bills keep him off the field on 3rd down passsing. Hes still a liability there Edited October 23 by balln 2 4 Quote

When is Milano miraculously coming back from a biceps tendon injury, then not playing meaningful football for at least 15 months, going to make some great impact. Fans need to come back to reality. 5 2 16 1 3 Quote
GolfandBills Posted October 23 Posted October 23 100% he goes into a back up role. Milano when healthy is a top 5 linebackers in the league. Williams not even close 6 1 Quote
Not at the table Karlos Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Dorian has not been the best LB that’s Bernard. Williams still has issues. It’s Milano’s job when he’s ready. 1 11 1 Quote
MJS Posted October 23 Posted October 23 (edited) Absolutely they will. Milano is a top 5 linebacker in the entire NFL. Dorian Williams is a young, developing player. There is no contest. But I do wonder if they will give Williams some opportunities in different packages or as a 3rd linebacker, but that means you pull Taron Johnson off the field, which is not ideal. Kirby Jackson Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Dorian goes back into a reserve role. He will still find some playing time. It also allows the Bills flexibility with Milano if he struggles coming back. 4 1 1 Quote
947 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I'd love to see some 4-3 packages when Milano is back up to full reps. Especially if we play Baltimore. 9 Quote

Fans need to come back to reality. 4-6 months is recovery time. 4 months is mid-end of December. So end of season or playoffs would fit in normal time line for the injury. Not sure how a normal recovery time is miraculous. Is he guaranteed to come back at all this season, no. The post says “Milano is coming back. Eventually” key word is eventually. The discussion is about when he comes back. 5 minutes ago, JohnNord said: It might take a couple weeks but he should be fine by the postseason End of the season is the early end of his recovery timeline. May be a little optimistic for him to be fine by the post season. Quote

Depends when he comes back. If it's early December, he will Have about 4 games to knock the rust off and i think that would give him enough time to have a good impact when playoffs starts. If he comes back the last few weeks? Then that might not be enough ramp up time Quote

Green Lightning Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I have to think Williams is our Will LB for the rest of the season/post season. Milano' healing/game shape is really optimistic for this season. Quote

Milano deserves a chance to show what he can do when he comes back, IMO. 1 Quote

balln Posted October 24 Posted October 24 What are people smoking? Is there any world where you think the bills would play Williams OVER all-pro - arguably our only consistent impact player on D - Milano? Really?!!?? To be fair- we haven’t seen him play yet after the tibial plateau fx. The pec injury won’t do anything to the longevity of his performance 1 1 Quote
